My two year anniversary with my boyfriend is June 29th and we're getting away for a couple nights. I've had this journal type of book for our two years together and have been filling it in over time. It's called "Why I Love You" and asks questions about how we met, things I love about him, our favorite things together, etc.

He's kind of a tough guy but a romantic softy when it's just the two of us. Do you think he'll like this book I'm making him, or do you think he'll think it's dumb?

I was friends with a guy for years, and for years everyone said he was in love with me. Occasionally he would get very flirty, say stuff like that also, say he loved me as a friend or I was the closest thing to romantic love he experienced. Then would take it back nearly as quickly and as often as he would say it so I really just shrugged and laughed it off, became very attached to him as my attractive ethnic brother from another mother.

Then, I got engaged and he became a total dick. Like he couldn't stop fighting with me, I was finally doing really well in life and he just had to bring me down when I was. Around my anniversary or on holidays, my birthday, he'd have to drag me down. I'd be supportive and there though, and always accept his, "I'm sorry I'm fcked in the head." reply.

If a guy loved a woman, and the woman liked the guy when they first hung out, which we did, then why didn't it escalate I asked myself. "Well because he wanted to string me along until -he- was ready to admit it to himself and be a man and get married." To my horror I realized since I knew him so well that was exactly probably what was going on subconsciously. My friends were right, my fiance' was right.

I friendzoned someone who loved me, and I feel really bad about it but at the same time - he friendzoned himself. So should I feel bad because every time he had an opportunity before I found my fiance, dated him, and then got engaged that he blew it because he had cold feet?

He even would talk about trying to find girls that were similar to me but never being able to.

I told him to just date around and be happy, I was so supportive and I feel really bad. So, I was really cruel towards him after he hurt my feelings by blowing me off.

I feel like the relationship can continue, but I don't know if it should. Am I the bad guy for deciding that it was best to cut the chord for good even though I know he wants me to try get him to forgive me? Or is it kinder?
