So I'm talking to this guy I met on okcupid. Well, at least I thought we were. He messaged me because we matched yesterday. He wanted to talk on the phone. I was hesitant to provide my phone number so we Skyped. Had an interesting convo. He says he doesn't like the hook up culture, complimented me and wanted to meet in person. We scheduled for this Saturday. He was flirty and we finally provided phone numbers because the connection was bad and preferred to FaceTime with our iPhones.

I know now we just started talking yesterday but he wants to meet up. He seemed interested. I just figured he would text me this morning or today to see how I'm doing. But I haven't heard from him since we first spoke last night. Am I overthinking things or is he fooling around?

According to a couple older friends and my uncle they agree it does.

My uncle told the story about a young Chinese girl who came to the US when she was 5. Originally she had manners, good grades and talked good to others about her teachers. Everyone thought she was gonna be a good example when she's older, that she's different from some spoiled white kids.

12 years later:
- She would party too much with her friends (most were white)
- She went through a period of sleeping around
- Had mediocre grades at school
- Talked about how school sucks, the last party, her lastest hook-up, etc.

Another 10 years later:
- Mother with a child and in her 3rd marriage (to another white man)
- Never bother teaching her child Chinese Mandarin nor anything regarding her culture
- Isn't a very good cook
- Is kind of messy
- Her child would be seen running around and throwing tantrums

According to my uncle, the once educated Chinese little girl who was sweet and grateful of her heritage turned white as a grown-up.
