my boyfriend likes to play video games and I honestly have NO problem with that whatsoever..but what I don't like is that he will stay up until 5, 6 or 7 in the morning playing games and then sleep until 5 at night! he gets SO zoned out when playing and I hate that he has these sleeping patterns.

the other week I had a problem with my mom and it was a pretty serious problem..i needed him, needed to talk to him, needed him there for me and I tried calling and texting him and he wouldn't answer the phone..i blew up his phone because I was so upset and I just needed him..turns out he had put his phone on silent and slept until 5! (that was the first time he slept so late but since then has been doing it often..) when he finally called me I told him about what happened and that it made me more upset that he wasn't there for me. and then something else that was pretty major came up this past week and same issue..i needed to talk to him, wanted him there for me and he was asleep and wouldn't answer his phone.

i spend the night at his place often and when I do I'll go to bed around one or 2 and sometimes he'll accidentally wake me up Because of the games and almost every time I usually get woken up around 6 and he'll be awake playing games..im groggy and half asleep and I'll be fussing at him to go to bed and that its 6 in the morning and that its ridiculous and a lot of the time he'll try and tickle me or do something to make me laugh or turn it into a joke when I'm trying to be serious and he'll also mock me sometimes (in a joking/playful manner) and last night he was doing that and I told him I find that disrespectful...i usually end up getting fed up and just roll over, angry that he won't listen to me and then he usually finishes the game that he's playing and turns his computer off and cuddles up next to me and goes to sleep.

do I have a right to be upset by his awful sleeping patterns? I know I shouldn't try and "change" him but I mean, come on, its not like he's up until 6 am working...he's playing video games and it just really upsets me when I need him and he's not there for me because he made the choice to stay up...i don't want this to cause problems in our relationship because I love him to death but I can foresee myself getting seriously fed up with this behavior.
