Alright. I'm 19 and an only child. My "dad" hasn't been in my life since I was around 3. Apparently when I was 2, he decided to cheat with the next door neighbor. He had sex with her when my mom went to work and who knows where I was at. My mom said she was on her way out the door to work one day and he all of a sudden said we need to talk, and this was out of the blue. He said he didn't want to be in a relationship with her anymore. He was cheating with the next door neighbor and having sex with her and had feelings for her and told my mom that he's moving out. Which is an asshole move because you have a girlfriend and a kid! My mom was also with him for 4 1/2 years prior to this and they were talking about getting married in the distant future. My mom called off work that day and took me and we went and stayed at a friends house. The next day when he wasn't at the house my mom packed her car up with as much stuff that she could and drive 6 hours to my grandma and aunts house and we stayed there. Later that week, my mom, uncle and her dad drove the uhaul to get the rest of the stuff she wanted and my uncle took a hammer to everything else that was his. He hammered the tv, the glass table, mirrors in the bathroom, the futon couch, there was literally glass all over the floor. He called my mom later that day and asked why the hell she overreacted and went crazy and destroyed his stuff and my uncle got on the phone and said your lucky it was your shit and not your face. Every weekend when I would go visit my lovely "father", my mom or aunt would drive halfway and meet him and I would relentlessly cry for my mom. I would not stop crying all weekend long for my mom and he drove me back home early. He was mad that I didn't like him, but the truth is I was scared and had separation anxiety. He also cheated on the next door neighbor and got her pregnant and left her for his current wife and they have 7 kids together (saw it on his facebook).

When we first started dating all he talked about was he was in this relationship to get married not date around. He asked me if I wanted to move in together. He said he changed his mind about not wanting to have kids. He said that when you meet the right person you know. Don't know when it happened but his conversation started to change. It wasn't moving in together it was him buying a house for his parents who he lives with. It wasn't that he wanted me to pursue the career path that I've chosen now he wanted me to make more money and not get help from my parents. He wants me to get an apartment near where he lives. I would be more financially capable if I had a roommate however he doesn't want me to have a roommate nor does he want to move in with me. Then two days ago my younger sister who's been dating her boyfriend for the exact same amount of time and who only see him on the weekends is engaged. I wanted to be happy but I felt so upset. How can her boyfriend propose to her when she relies on my parents and yet my boyfriend tells me he's not interested in getting married till I can pay my own rent. We had an argument. It left me feeling cold. He kept saying that he loved me but if I didn't think that this was the relationship that I wanted then maybe I should find someone else. He said that the only reason why he's not broken up with me is because I'm the nicest person he knows and the only one who excepts his busy schedule without complaint. he doesn't want to feel pressured. I'm starting to feel like me paying my own rent sounds like excuses for a man that doesn't see himself with me. They're things that I want in life. Im scared that if i stay we will be dating another 2 or 3 years or more and I wil still be living alone and waited to long to have a family. At this point I feel like our relationship isn't going anywhere. He works the same hours 7 days a week. He's not changed.
