Guy and girl are dating (girl: 18 guy: 19) The guys parents are super controlling. The guy FINALLY gets a day off from work and so the couple goes out together. But at the beginning of the day (the couple is an hour away from home at his point.) his mom calls him and asks him to pick up cigarettes for his dad when he gets into town (The gas station is literally 2 minutes away from his parents house) He says sure but doesn't know when he'll be back. She then proceeds to call him every 30 minutes to "check in" and find out where he is and when he's gonna be back. Well after several hours of this and the second call that he takes during dinner alone, the girl got upset. She didn't like how the one day she gets with him keeps getting rushed and interrupted by his pushy mother. So they leave the restaurant and start heading home. His mom finally won. The couple fought on the way home. The girls side: I'm sick of your mom always interfering in our lives with her controlling tendencies and sabotaging our dates/trips. The guys side: I'm so sick of you always assuming the worst and thinking that my mom is always out to get us. She's not trying to screw with us. So who's right? Oh and as a side note, when they finally did get back into town, they ran into the guys dad at the gas station bc he was sick of waiting for them. Then the mom blew up at the guy and told him he owes them an apology for not getting back in time.
