I, the honest one, am a cashier at a grocery store and last week, a customer of the opposite race got triggered. A customer's card was denied 3 times and I was unsure of what to do. I politely asked the customer what the balance of the food stamp card was. She then yelled "THIS isn't FOOD STAMPS THIS IS DEBIT!". Later that week I received a customer complaint. The customer wrote a 2 page essay on how she was treated in a racist, ignorant way. Race literally had no factor in this situation. I was unaware at the time there was a stereotype on people who use food stamps. In the essay she stated how I didn't apologize. But what she is forgetting, is that I only apologize when I actually feel sorry. The dishonest media (my co-workers) is claiming that I should feel awful for racially profiling a customer, even though that had nothing to do with it. Let's not forget none of this would have happened If her card simply would have worked the first time. I'll admit I should be more careful on what I say but in no way was race a subject. Somebody that I work with (aka: the chairman of the media) thinks I should feel bad for racially profiling a customer even though race was not even a subject until it was brought by the customer and the dishonest media. If the customer only invested half the time she spent on the two page paper into getting laid, she'd be getting laid twice a day.
