I am dating 15 years older man, we have a long- distance relationship for 5 months. We have met in summer, before it we were talking for 3 months and actually, everything was already serious then, there were strong feelings from me and him, there was still no commitment, but only because he wanted to ask it face to face. I was trying to do everything I can to cheer him up, well, at least virtually.

The thing is that recently, I've read his convo on the phone with a girl, it was a few days before we met. He was complimenting her and he told he starts to like her. I was trying to discuss with him about it, but the only thing he was repeating that it was only friendly.

The problem is that girl was a sugar baby from a site. They arranged to meet, he bought her a flight ticket to be his friend in a festival where he met other old friends and partied a bit. It has happened after we met and became in a relationship. He says that he promised to buy her a ticket even before he have started to talk to me, that's why he complimented it and, anyway, he was suggesting me to go there with him, but I refused, so it makes me believe he stayed loyal that time.

Now, coming to the problem, my brain just can't accept his telling phone flirting was friendly. Eventually, he started to agree on it, he was apologizing, promosing never do this again, but I just can see he feels sorry for upseting me, not because he feels it was incorrect.. Anyway, let's say I believe in it, I'll get over, but I need one more thing, the reason why, was it a lack of feelings and his saying I have strong feelings back then was quite exaggerated. But he denies that.. I think, it's an absolute true, when you meet a person face to face and spend a real time together feelings grow, but he says it was already strong everything before and he still did flirting thing.. I don't think that relationship status itself can keep you loyal ALL the time, it's not enough. Maybe it was a lack of warmth, so I feel hopeless, because long distance is imminent for us at least for the next half a year or so. So now, I don't know the reason and can't live calmly.

Would you be willing to be in a long distance relationship? I know that sometimes due to circumstances that couples sometimes become long distance due to work commitments and such. But I'm curious to know whether many people would be willing to commit to a long distance partner that they haven't previously met?
