Personally, I think society's logic when dealing with the topic of suicide is very counterintuitive. Let's talk about the facts for a minute. Suicide is mostly a religious debate, however our world is becoming more and more materialistic and faithless. I find the way people think about this subject to be hypocritical and disgusting. When we actually lose someone it's a terrible tragedy, but when that person is alive we tell them to suck it up. We live in a competitive society that is quick to dispose of people that don't have the skills or mental health to survive. Are these people really better off being locked up and doomed to a life of misery? Is someone who struggles to afford basic necessities like food or shelter really better off taking up space in a world they are unhappy living in? There are far more pros than cons to suicide. Pros: The population would stabilize more, prisons would be less crowded, the economy would improve, and the people that actually want to live would enjoy a higher quality of life. Not to mention, if suicide was acceptable, perhaps people would actually be more considerate of mental health. Cons: A handful of people that most likely don't struggle with finances, work, poverty, or depression would be sad for a couple of weeks. There exist suicide machines which can kill you painlessly. These are used for terminally ill patients to give them a peaceful death, and are equipped with escape switches in case the person changes his or her mind. Does anyone else agree people should have a right to die?

Short description

I was brought up the wrong way in life, was bullied and ostracized and grew up with almost no friends. People who were supposed to be the role models in my life were not very good role models at all, biological father left when I was 5, a bipolar narcissistic mother, a racist and sexist step father for the majority of my childhood, second step father never worked a day in his life and has no financial balance, older sister was on drugs and became a teenage mother, older brother was always in and out of juvenile detention and also became a teenage father. With all the people people I was surrounded and grew up with and all the bed events that happened while I was still developing, I quit school when I was 17 when my grandmother passed away and spent the next couple of years locked away in my room living at mom's house and living on her allowance, dealing with depression, anxiety and other mental and physiological issues due to my past.

Never got my driver's license until 20 (almost 21
Got my first job at 21
Started lifelong career at 22.5 (also self employed
got my first car at 24
Turning 25 in November and just getting ready to move out of my mom's house

It's been a long journey and I'm proud of the man I've become basically on my own. But when I hear people say that they had their first job at 14, license and car at 16 and moved out at 18 tends to discourage me and I feel far behind. I try to look at the positives.

I make better lifestyle habits
I have no kids
I have no addictions (which runs in the family
I have $0 in debt (never went to college and I also paid back my mom
I have a great credit score
I have an actual mortgage on a nice house
I make enough to support me and a stay at home partner
