So, you've all probably heard that the Newtown shooter was a basket case. But his exact condition is seldom explained beyond that.

There are laws on the books to keep men like that from buying guns; but they need enforcing. What he used was stolen, and you can't invent a new law that magically stops thieves from being thieves, no matter who you ban what from.

Anyway, the killer caught his mom in the act of signing paperwork to have him institutionalized. She foolishly told him it was because he was a danger to her "children" (the schoolchildren.)

In the unstable killer's mind, that meant his mom had betrayed him - and her own principles as a "family-first" Doomsday Prepper. It is not beyond the realm of possibility that his thoughts were: "Well, if you love them more than you love me, then YOU can die WITH them!"

Now...that's Occam's Razor, isn't it? The crime, ladies and gentlemen, was not: "Oh! I have a video game that glorifies murdering kindergarteners! Let's act it out!" (Although that is pretty sick all by itself.) It's not: "Oh wow! Some of those kids go to church, and I hate that! Let's kill them! (One of many stated motives of the Columbine shooters.)

And it most certainly wasn't: "Have...gun...must...shoot...something." Totalitarians recycle that myth every single time they want to justify rounding up and mass-murdering their political adversaries. (Like all the sickos that want to murder NRA members, even on this sight, and are not ashamed of their hate speech.)

No, it was none of that. It was...*drum roll*...JEALOUSY!

The Newtown Shooter isn't the great revelation that the Obool-Aid drinkers make him out to be! He was...just acting on one of the most common motives of the killers that feature on Investigation Discovery! He was jealous of someone else being more popular with his mother than himself - at least, in his own twisted mind!

The drugs didn't help. Doomsday Prepper ideology and sadist video games didn't help. But as I got burned for saying earlier: It takes a combination to make a killer. Seldom is it one single factor.

Gasp! The final catalyst was nothing but jealousy. Human nature.

Now...how does that change how you look at the case?
