Marshall is a 15 years old year old black kid. His mother is dead and his father disowned him when he was 6 years old. Marshall recently got adopted into a new family. At school Marshall was told to do the world a favor and kill himself. A few students also said Marshall was worthless and kicked him between his legs. Marshall vomited and ditched 7 days of school. Every day he lies to his foster parents and spends most of his time writing poems, picking up trash and reading books outside. He decided to drop out of high school and feels depressed. He cries himself to sleep every night

I like reading and writing poetry and wondered if anyone else on here does as well. If you are someone who writes it or has a favorite poem you would like to share from other writers, feel free to do so. :)

I won't exclude rap in this question because I know there are some rap artists out there who do some fairly artistic writing in their music.

Marshall is a 16 year old black boy who suffers from depression. He lives with his foster parents who act like he's a freak and he struggles to make friends in school. His mother hanged herself when Marshall was two years old and his father eventually did the same thing. Marshall gets bullied in school and acts happy and joyful but than goes home and sobs about it. Marshall spends a lot of time writing poems and fantasizes about being a writer or maybe a doctor. He's only happy when he's alone or thinking of the future. He stays hopeful for the future where he doesn't have to live with his foster parents anymore.
