Wattpad is a website in which aspiring writers can be discovered and people who love reading can read books which aspiring writers have written, for free.

There have been many successes from Wattpad such as Anna Todd who wrote a book called 'After' which is now a movie coming out soon, and Beth Reekles who wrote the book called 'The Kissing Booth' which is now a movie on Netflix. Personally, those kind of stories are not my cup of tea, but I still congratulate the authors for becoming recognised in their genres.

I often find the content on there is rather stereotypical and rather repetitive nowadays. While many stories are well written I can predict the plot just by reading the description or first chapter. I also find many of the plots to be illogical.

But none the less, Wattpad is an amazing resource for aspiring authors such as myself. I do not come from an extremely poor background, but we are not exactly rich either and Wattpad is giving me a free chance to be discovered as a writer. I can publish my story online for free, and possibly get discovered by a publishing company. I will always appreciate that.
