I'm just curious of a hypothetical alternative past, present and future. Lol. I'm not American, just an Aussie who was 14 at the time of the US 2008 election, yet I watched the results with interest at the time. I'm watching Game Change the 2012 movie as I type this. Keep in mind John McCain died in 2018, hypothetically two years after finishing a hypothetical second term in office as President, alternative history. All imagination as alternative history fiction. OR had a hypothetical President John McCain resigned before an alternate future 2012/2016 election? I'm quite a fan of my nostalgic memories of the 2008 Sarah Palin run for VP as a foreign politics news thing at the time - I didn't mind too much when Obama won instead and reelected 2012. I did hope Palin would run/win in 2012 in her own right as President ah well.

All but Pence has a chance. I think Jim Jordan is front runner because DeSantas won't agree to be VP and remain Governor of Florida which helps Trump carry that state.

So, here are the front runners 1 to 7

1) Jim Jordan
2) Doug Collins
3) Kristi Noam , a young woman would be appealing for women and younger voters
4) Sarah Palin (Trump really likes her but she ran with McCain )
5) Ron DeSantas , a long shot , would rather run himself in 2028 as a Governor
6) Ted Nugent , Trump likes a lot but is very controversial with what he says and might be distraction
7) The ex VP traitor Mike Pence. Won't happen. I give 0 chance he will be Trump's VP

Don't show how stupid you are by suggesting Candice Owens. She has no experience. Never held an elected position. Is too young. Whines about everything. Not forceful enough.

Now if you said Tulsi Gabbard , that would be interesting. I don't think Trump and her have enough in common. Trump would pick up some new votes though.

It is a big reason I don't vote for women. They never answer political questions here and when they run for an office they are usually liberals with one issue. Now Sarah Palin had been an Alaskan state office holder and Alaska Governor , not to mention a Conservative. I didn't vote for McCain the Pain since he was a Rino.

Very extreme views and they still don't understand how politics works.

I’m a bit of a political junkie, haha. Bear with me.

John McCain, the presidential nominee, was old and possibly ‘forgetful’, seen as too conservative by some and not conservative enough by others, and had a slight stain of racism. On the other hand, he was a war veteran and a political veteran.

Sarah Palin, the vice-presidential nominee, was seen as at best very unknowledgeable and at worst downright stupid, as well as being too conservative and having an issue with pork spending. It genuinely scared many people to imagine such a person having the power to launch a nuclear arsenal. On the other hand, she was seen a straight talker with family values and commitment through her son to the military, and had the novelty value of being a woman, and of being a MILF at least by the standards of ‘showbiz for ugly people’ (I’m just keeping it real).

OK, imagine this.

If the Republican Party had chosen a different presidential nominee and vice-presidential nominee (from among all the LIKELY candidates), could the party have won against Barack Obama and Joe Biden?

Or were problems of the Bush years just too heavy for the Republicans to shift?

Hillary Clinton has spent her entire life in politics changing EVERYTHING. She has unparalleled experience and knowledge.

Here comes Sarah! She has 2 years of experience as governor. She believes creationism should be taught in school along side science. She's a lifetime member of the NRA. People call her a "reformer" but she's beyond far right conservative.

All Sarah is is a pretty face. She isn't a leader, she hasn't proven herself, she's just a pretty face McCain and the Republicans picked to make McCain look more human and to attract those who fall for this trick.

Women all over want to stop being treated like a tool for men to achieve, well, the Republicans sure don't think so. This is an ABSOLUTE insult to ALL women, ESPECIALLY Hillary.

She didn't get to be vice-president running mate because of her record, she got it because of how she looks, and that she's a woman.

WOMEN SHOULD NOT BE TREATED LIKE BILLBOARDS.
