US politics: If John McCain won 2008, and Sarah Palin ran/wins 2016, who'd have been her VP?

I'm just curious of a hypothetical alternative past, present and future. Lol. I'm not American, just an Aussie who was 14 at the time of the US 2008 election, yet I watched the results with interest at the time. I'm watching Game Change the 2012 movie as I type this. Keep in mind John McCain died in 2018, hypothetically two years after finishing a hypothetical second term in office as President, alternative history. All imagination as alternative history fiction. Sarah could've won 2016/2020 (two terms wins)

Issue with that, you’d have to assume McCain won 2012 too because Sarah Palin probably wouldn’t win the Republican Primary with that…. Okay let’s assume Palin was a popular VP figure somehow and the GOP chose her as the frontrunner, her VP would be either Jeb Bush or Ted Cruz or Lindsay Graham perhaps. It is hard to think about honestly.

@paledreams Trust me when I say this, Sarah Palin was an awful candidate in 2008 and tbh probably cost McCain the election looking back at how weird she was… In Alaska the Republicans changed it to rank choice voting thinking it would guarantee their state to stay Red then Sarah Palin was kicked off because she was everyone’s second choice showcasing the reality of her “likability”.

Sarah Palin step down as alaska governor in 2009 over ethic investigation. Went off the deep end with the tea party but kept her head down till she popped up again in 2022 for the single house seat special election but lost.

Good chance if she was vp she would step down again and pick someone else in 2009. If not she would almost certainly not be pick by McCain for the potential reelection.
