5.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I'd consider Liz Cheney if she was running.
From the DEM side, I like Bernie Sanders because he is right about a great deal of things in the long run.
However, he should have been the DEM nominee in 2016 but got fucked over by the DEM Establishment, thus they gave us the sociopath, Trump.
Really, the kind of guy I want as President was Biden. I've liked Joe Biden for many years and I told him in 2009 to run in 2016 (at the end of Obama's 2nd term).
In a nutshell, I don't want a sycophant but who is a functional adult who recognizes the problems people are having everywhere and focused on long-term solutions. Biden is that guy for the most part.
HOWEVER, I'd enjoy seeing Kristi Noem because, my God, she is a righteous piece-of-ass!21 Reply

Allister has many policy positions and you would probably need to write to him to get a further and complete statement. However, he now believes in heated cat beds , gourmet cat food, and regular scheduled belly rubs. He also wants you to know that he does not need a psychiatrist but is quite happy to be furnished with a servant or two. I can adjust to this given that right now I fulfill the role of servant for him.

+1 ySomeone competent, who's young enough to have a stake in the future of the country.
There may be another choice I'd prefer, but off the top of my head, I'll go with Tulsi Gabbard. She's moderate, informed, deeply concerned about our deteriorating national infrastructure, cares more about healing the political rifts of the nation than scoring points for her "side", and for those sexist enough to care, she's even a woman. She IS kind of stupid on nuclear power, but hey, you can't have everything.
10 Reply3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Kennedy, who, despite DNC lawsuits, is on track to be on the ballot in all 50 states. In a 3 person race, Kennedy only needs 34% of the vote to win, which normally wouldn't be feasible for a 3rd party candidate, but were in an odd election year where we have a repeat election with the 2 most unpopular candidates.
36 Reply- +1 y
Is he really on track? Do you have some interesting links?
- +1 y
@DryGermanGuy Kennedy 100% is on track for ballot access in all 50 states. Kennedy has completed ballot access/petitions in 9 states and is in the process of gaining ballot access in 33 more states, there are 8 states and DC remaining where Kennedy hasn't started ballot access yet, but that's only because ballot access windows hasn't opened yet. At a really today in NY, Kennedy announced, in NY, one of the hardest states to gain ballot access, he's not only reached the 45,000 signature requirement, but will have over double that requirement by the time the his campaign hands in those signatures. Recently in Hawaii, Democrats challenged Kennedy's ballot access and failed. It's going to be a long and tough fight, but in the end Kennedy will have ballot access in all 50 states and DC.

I found David Pakman's latest take on it interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TJ2Wiw2xzY
- +1 y
@DryGermanGuy I didn't, and I use to watch his show during the 2016 election then quit after he became a partisan hack with biased opinions. David did a video a few weeks ago that Kennedy could cost Biden the election, so always take what he says with a grain of salt like you should everyone else.
- +1 y
If he acknowledges that Kennedy could (also) lose Biden the election that shows me that he is less a hack than rather thorough with his reporting.
- +1 y
@DryGermanGuy No he's a hack who doesn't do thorough reporting. One of his recent video's about a Kennedy staffer, he both lied and omitted info to fit his narrative. A low level staffer hired to help with ballot access in NY stepped out of line with comments made at their own event and was fired from the campaign, instead of reporting truthfully, David falsely reported the staffer as an advisor and the privet event as a campaign event and conveniently left out the part where the staffer was fired for stepping out of line for opinions that don't align with the campaign. All's he had to do was read statements from the campaign to know it was a privet event and the staffer in question wasn't an advisor but a low level staffer hired to help with ballot access in NY.
"Rita Palma was hired a couple of weeks ago as a ballot access consultant responsible for scheduling volunteer shifts during our upcoming signature collection drive in the Empire state. She has no involvement in or access to electoral strategy nationally or in New York. The video circulating was not taken at a campaign event. Palma was speaking as a private citizen and her statements in no way reflect campaign strategy, the sole aim of which is to win the White House with votes from former Trump and Biden supporters alike."

+1 yAl Franken, a seriously smart man, but he's so smart, he wouldn't want the job. I'm cracking up at seeing the mention of Sarah Palin. She's an idiot.
Nicky Haley is the genius who wrote several books telling about how her family was ostracized, disrespected and faced all kinds of prejudice, because of how they looked - Indian. Then she gets up during a debate and says "America is not a racist country". She was a total Trumptoid puppet under his administration too.

@itsclearlynicholas Sarah Palin was John McCain's VP running mate. She was never going to be elected President, especially after Tina Fey's infamous SNL skit "I can see Russia from my house." If Biden gets elected in 2024, you may get your wish to see a woman President, when Biden is declared unfit for office, and under the 25th Amendment to the US Constitution, Vice President Kamala Harris becomes President.
