Is Texting Speed a Good Litmus Test for a Girl's Interest Level?

so i started talking to this girl near the end of the semester, and she seemed to be a slow mover just like me. i started showing more interest and sitting with her 1-1 more and more often, talking to her on sm and getting her number, etc.

she seems to be happy to spend time with me doing little things, but at the End of the Semester we didn't have time to go out (and i expressed that).

i talked to her close guy friend about it, and he said that she's a slow mover and that she doesn't seem uninterested and to go for it.

where my issue lies is that: all this time we've never had a Fast texting conversation. she always takes from 30m to 3 hrs to reply. she always replies with interest and a meaningful continuation to the convo, but again, its very slow.

I'd say it depends on the girl and how busy she is. Personally, I take longer to text the man I'm dating because I put a lot of thought into each response (and we mutually text paragraphs at a time).

What's more important in my opinion is whether she responds to in kind or if she just kind of disregards much of what you've said and seems uninterested in continuing the convo, which doesn't seem to be the case.

It depends. Sometimes it means…
1. she’s really just got nothing else to do,
2. she has the phone glued to her hand anyway,
3. she’s chatty,
4. she likes chatting with you.

It kinda seems like it. I don't think it's the end all be all; because women are definitely different in their texting habits. I will say though. If a woman isn't communicating; that's a surefire sign that the the relationship is on it's way out.
