I text back when I receive it or when I'm no longer busy. I don't think it really matters.
However, my friend received a text from a boy she likes and she waited like ten minutes (cause she couldn't wait any longer) and then sent something back. I personally think that's stupid. But as for having a CERTAIN time to text back I've never heard of.
if she likes you, she'll text you back. there's no 'x amount of time' that we wait for. I mean, she could be really busy and can't text back right back or she just doesn't know what to text back to you. if I really don't want to talk to a person, I usually text them back rather quickly just to get them off my back. but that's just me.
I guess it depends on the situation and person. Women are definitely much more deliberate about that stuff though than guys are, so there is a very good possibility that she means something by how long it takes her to respond. However, without a specific situation there's no way to definitively say yes or no.
If a girl is into you she will text you back as soon as possible, this is usually within a couple minutes. This is true with all normal girls who don't go over-the-top with the game playing. Otherwise, if she sees you as a friend or is not interested in you at all then it will just feel like it takes her a really long time to reply to you.
Yeah girls are on their phone all the time. If she isn't responding to you quickly, then she is either playing games or just flat out not very interested in you.
