Questions: Food & Beverage

Someone gave me a gallon bag of blueberries, they've been in the fridge for a week. They smell like vinegar.
I'm not new to fresh fruit and have never had berries do this before. I threw them away, wouldn't even let the birds have them. Theyre not fermenting, as I've forgotten about berries before. I'm not sure what happened. But the person who gave them to me hates me. I didn't eat many of them and didn't get sick but I found it strange they smell like vinegar.

when I was a kid my mom used to fix this for me cuz she thought it was what Americans liked. I preferred it plain but I grew up with tuna mac n cheese so now, every so often I gotta have it.

Hangry = Angry because you haven't eaten.

I rarely even get the feeling of hunger, but my boyfriend gets some severe case of hanger, if he hasn't eaten in a while. I might have to start carrying snacks around for him. 😄

I know slurping is a cultural thing, but why slurp the types of foods that don't need to be slurped?

If this Q offended anyone or just sounded silly, I apologize. I don't know any Asian people in real life, so I was just really wondering why this is. I get slurping soup or noodles... but roasted meat - why?

I read a study on how cilantro tastes to you has a lot to do with your genes. Scientists were able to pin down most cilantro haters as people with a shared group of olfactory-receptor genes, called OR6A2, that pick up on the smell of aldehyde chemicals. Aldehyde chemicals are found in both cilantro and soap.

If you are one of those anti-cilantro folks, at least you know that it’s not really your fault and you can blame your parents.
