Questions: Food & Beverage

I was surprised to learn that Americans don't drink squash, and it's mostly a British thing. So that got me wondering what other British food isn't widely available over the pond.

Now, one of the most popular foods I can think of over here that might or not be available in the USA is Laverbread, a store cupboard staple in every British home.

Here's a nice very short video of an American enjoying it

So if it's available in the states how do you buy it?

I recently asked a question about squash and felt many people didn't understand the question. That got me thinking perhaps squash is mostly a British thing.

So, for clarity. Squash is a concentrated liquid that you put in a glass and top up with water. Some brands use fruit juice, other's chemicals, most use both.

When it comes to soft drinks I tend to opt for fizzy pop like lemonade, or fruit juice. I'm not a huge fan of squash because I find the taste too artificial, but it's handy to have a bottle in storage as a back up.

But how do you feel about the "just add water" stuff?
