Search Results: dysfunctional families

So I have some kind of a suspicion and I am not sure why.
But I get the feeling, that mothers get a specially strong bond towards their son (s) in a different way than their daughter (s).
I mean a mother has a bond to both son and daughter but I think (in my observation) that in some way they care distinctively and/or obsessively more about their boys and express a really unusual type of love to their boys. This type of love that nobody else may get (sometimes not even their husbands).

It is hard to explain and I don't want to give any life examples from me for privacy reasons.
But what is for sure is that we boys tend to get bored when our mother is following us everywhere in life and checking on us quite often when we are adults and independent (unless the son loves his mother dearly, which is really not my case).

Now that I mention it, I recall older women liking me quite more often than young women (but not enough for relationship-wise).

Also I am not talking about dysfunctional families or abusive mothers, that should not have been breeding.
