Many men are bitter about the OkCupid study that found most men rated as unattractive while most women were rated as decent-looking or better.

My question is: what do these guys expect? Many guys claim that they just roll out of bed and put on clothes and then start their day. I was shocked to learn most men don't even put a comb through their hair.

Compare to women. Many women spend up to an hour on their hair, 20 minutes doing makeup, etc.

I guarantee that if most women followed the same routine as men (roll out of bed, don't put on makeup, don't touch their hair) they would be rated as poorly as most men.

How can men expect to be seen as attractive after 2 minutes of effort as women are seen after 40 minutes of effort? Can someone explain that to me?

I have a great friend who, to me, is not attractive TO ME in the slightest (overweight, missing teeth, bad dress sense, not very clean etc.), but just because we're a boy and girl, people assume we would end up dating or even want it to happen. I would say I'm the opposite of him and I have dated or been with guys who range from quite attractive to very attractive. Don't get me wrong, the guy is lovely and he's a great friend, but I don't see him romantically or sexually at all.

I kind of found it offensive that people thought I would date someone like that.

I’ve always been a good replier but recently dated a guy that would reply as soon as I messaged him no matter where he was or what he was doing and I’ve found it a real turn off. It’s definitely changed my perspective on replying so fast. Is it a turn off for you?
