i had to think about myself and not feel bad for ignoring him, at least i was being honest, distancing myself so he can move on and leave me alone. last year he told me how he would wait for me forever and i told him not too, to move on with his life and i wished him the best. he did seem like a very sweet guy. i have ignored the past 3 messages on him so he can really get the hint to move on with his life. the first one was on Valentine's day. i did respond with hey back and whats up. then he said happy vday and whats my bf doing thats so special. i ignored it. i dont have to say happy vday he isn't my bf, i had no bf he just wanted to snoop n for me to say i dont so he can ask me out. i didn't fall for it. then 6 months later i thought to myself ok he seemed to calm down hopefully he will he comes again and thats when i started to completely ignore him. hoping he would get the message, plus i was going through my own emotional pain, i was being nice to him all these years, there's no point in talking to a guy giving his hopes up that ok she will date me one day, she still talks to me. plus he kept forcing me he wouldn't stop no matter how much i told him NO. then second time he msged me was in August "hey how have you been?" i didn't reply so he would know im not interested. then his bday came one week later i didn't wish him because if i did but i dont talk to him other days that would be weird so i didnt. i can tell he was pissed off and didn't have a good bday just because i didn't wish him. then the next day he messages me at 3am "heyy are you trying to be stuck up and ignoring people now?" so as you all see this is harassment. you dont force people to talk if they dont feel like it. he was also being very rude. he has been single all these years hoping id be with him one day, he was most likely waiting for me. so i finally had it and BLOCKED HIM. now he can't harass me, stalk me anymore. now he can finally see im not interested. i was being too nice.

I don't mean sexually, in sexual situations, I mean generally.
Why do you touch females so much, and so often?
I am not a particularly tactile person myself, unless it's family or a really close friend. I'm respectful, in some ways reserved, but very friendly.
I find that on a daily basis, men touch me as if my body is their property.
Some examples are:
Standing in very close proximity.
A client's husband at work putting his hands on my hips from behind, to move me a little bit out of the way.

Touching my waist.
An older man I know who is very respectful, married and a dad, touches my back and shoulders very often, while maintaining eye contact.
A guy similar in age to me at work, who happens to be married, with a baby, touched my stomach, trying to explain something to me, which was work related (he's a physio). Then again, today, he was explaining another scenario to me, and touched me for a second on my upper/side bum, near my hip. I didn't really see it to be necessary at all for him to touch me in those places while explaining these things to me, it took me by surprise actually.
And just general touching.
I am not inviting the touching, at least not that I know of.
I am not positioning myself closely to males either, and if they get too close, I will generally move away a fraction.
I dress nicely, but modestly.
I'm not flirtatious either, at least I hope I don't come across that way.

So what I'd like to know, is the above behaviour normal?
Am I just being over sensitive about something that is very normal and common?
Why do males do this?
Do you do this? And why/why not?

Any insight would be appreciated!

The examples I have given have not been the only incidents, but I thought I'd list just a few, to give a general idea of what I'm talking about.

I often don't say anything, as Im not sure if I'm just thinking too much about something that is actually perfectly normal, and I'm just over-sensitive.
