I’m 18. This is my first job. I started this job at the beginning of this month. Im a server at a fairly new retirement center. The shift is from 11am-7pm. And from 1:30pm-4:30pm all day everyday is literally spent in the break room because there’s nothing to do. (All departments have WAY too much downtime but we get paid to sit on our ass). There is this new manager, Seth (came in about 2 days after I started working there cuz other manager quit). There is also Cher, our floor manager, she interviewed me and she’s really nice. Everybody likes her. There are currently 2 servers, me and a girl that’s my age named Addie. There’s also two cooks, Addies dad and some other guy. Nobody likes Seth. It’s not that he’s mean or anything he’s just a control freak and likes things done a certain way and makes all the rules and changes the entire rhythm of the kitchen. He portions things small and residents get pissed cuz they pay a lot and residents can’t be in the dining room after 6pm, etc. EVERYBODY, including other employees in other departments talk shit about Seth. They call him an asshole etc. Anyways, Cher announced she is leaving in two weeks for another job so it will just be Seth and us. Addie said she’s gonna go back to her job at iHop that she hated. She absolutely hates Seth and Cher quitting was the last straw. She said tomorrow will be her last day and she’s already on the schedule for Tuesday at ihop. She’s not coming back after tomorrow and blocking Seth’s number. Her dad said he’s quitting too and he fucking hates this place. That means I will be the only server stuck in the kitchen with Seth. That other cook will probably quit too. This place is really close to my house and the job is easy it’s just Seth is annoying and I don't know how I feel about serving 40 residents by myself. They also tried to hire other servers but the servers thought the position didn’t fit or never called back my parents will probably be pissed if I quit but I don't know what to do.

This is my first job. I’ve worked at this job for 7 months. I’m a server/runner. There is an employee there that nobody really likes. She is mean and bullies everyone and my boss won’t do anything about it even my general manager. She also shows up 15-30 minutes late every single day. I’ve gotten written up 3 times over being late and I’m constantly late all the time. Boss told me last week this is my last chance and if I’m late one more time I’m getting the boot. He also said I’ve heard from numerous people that you don’t like working here and if that’s the case that’s fine you can quit and no harm done. Maybe this isn’t the right job for you. Anyways I’ve been 15 minutes early every day since. Today out of the blue I got a call from my general manager saying instead of reporting to work tomorrow at 9 to go straight to HR building and speak to this girl and we will go from there. Nobody will get back to me on what it’s about and I called the HR building and they are saying that they aren’t aware of any scheduled meetings tomorrow and to call my general manager. Nobody is answering. I asked my coworker who is friends with my floor manager and boss and she said she hasn’t heard anything going around and it’s been super busy at work all morning (it has there are 3 events going on) and she said fingers crossed you don’t get fired but I don’t know what you would’ve done that’s so awful. I was talking to coworkers about bringing fart spray and spraying it on (coworker nobody likes) stuff and they all laughed but I’m positive nobody would rat on me because it’s just dumb. Yesterday when I was serving a guy spilled his drink all over him and I ran away laughing and couldn’t get my shit together for like 5 minutes and someone else had to clean it up. I also don’t look happy at work but I’m nice to everyone it’s just I have RBF. I don't know.

Ok so this girl started working at my job in August. She’s a quick learner and a good employee. Never had any problems with her. She recently told me that she likes another coworker. She said he goes out of his way to do stuff for her and teases her (when nobody is around) and is really nice to her. (which is weird because he’s never shown any interest in anybody ever, always thought he was an asexual weirdo lol, he’s worked here for 4 years and has never been in a relationship not even in high school). he is extremely shy and awkward. The girl is shy too but more outgoing then him. They are both shy and awkward together. I will say his performance at work has been bad this past month. He knows what he’s supposed to do but acts like he doesn’t. It’s like his bodies there but he’s not. He works tomorrow and the girl doesn't. They both work together all day Wednesday. Apparently the girl said they both give mixed signals or something like that constantly. I wonder if I should tell him that she has a crush on him. (Maybe it would move them forward) everyone at work thinks it’s adorable that the girl gets so embarrassed and says don’t tell him LOL. They’ve been like this for the past month.
