I'm in love, no need to sugar coat it. It's unrequited (to the best of my knowledge) and it's so hard. It's not the first time this has happened.. I liked a guy for five years that I didn't know well. We were close as kids but I liked the idea of him rather than truly him because I didn't truly know him as we grew older and apart. I moved on, and it took confirmation of nothing ever happening, but it did eventually pass. I now like this other guy and at the beginning I was so aware of everything so I decided to approach every step of this as prayerfully and as honestly as possible. I want to Glorify God with everything I do, and although marriage and that guy seem like a shiny jewel, it's nothing compared to the love I have for God. That doesn't make this painless though. He's in my Bible study group, I see him at church, I serve in kids programs alongside him, and any time I'm hanging with my friend group, he's there. I can't ignore him. I don't want to either, because I know that God is in charge and that he will resolve my feelings and my circumstances. I know that we go through trials in life that grow our faith, and I know I must choose one or the other, but I guess due to a lot of circumstances (which I don't have time or space to get into), right now is just a very difficult and pressing time for me in life. I like him for the right reasons, but I feel so heartbroken and heavy around him. And as I mentioned before, that's very often. I'm considering leaving my group, which would be so hard because it's like family to me, but I don't know what trial would bring God more glory. Leaving and trusting him through the pain in that, or staying and continuing to feel heartbroken and unable to say/do anything. I know that God is ultimately good and I'm so excited to see His plans for me, but right now I feel like I have to make an active choice in either staying or leaving for another group even if both choices are equally difficult for different reasons. Any advice?

So I'm a part of a college Christian youth group and I'm worried that one of the guys in that group likes me. At first I just had a hunch because of eye contact and his body language, but I didn't want to be narcissistic, so I just brushed it off and convinced myself I was imagining things or overthinking him just trying to be nice. In the past week, he has made an effort to go out of his way to be nice or chivalrous to me on many occasions. Even to the point of waiting for me to drive off first so that I would lead the way. In our group chat on messenger he reacts to every single one of my messages, even when it's mainly girls just sending hearts. He doesn't do this to anyone else. And he doesn't pay as much attention to anyone else either. For a few reasons, he is not and will never be attractive to me (I don't mean this physically). He is not a person that I could ever see myself with. In our church people don't really date unless they're looking to eventually find the right one to marry and think the person they're about to date might be them. We don't just date for fun or cause it feels nice to have a boyfriend or girlfriend. So it's pretty serious when you have a guy show any interest. I'm totally freaking out because (1) he's 24, I'm 19... it's not creepy, but he's ready for marriage, I'm not. (2) I have about 4 more years of school ahead of me before I want to marry so that means I probably wouldn't be dating anyone for another two years. (3 ) I'm interested in someone else... Who, yes doesn't know or probably like me back, but I would never be able to even consider feelings for someone else while I still like him. (4) one of my close friends likes him, and if she found out she'd be devastated. (5) I don't want this to get dramatic and explode in our group. I don't want people to find out and cause more issues. (6) I don't want to hurt him, just because I don't like him that way, doesn't mean I don't have a soul or that I don't care.

Okay so my boss isn’t my GM, he’s just a shift manager. He’s 28, and he’s married with a baby girl who’s about 10 months old. I think he has feelings for me because we talk a lot outside of work, he doesn’t even sleep in bed with his wife, and he tries to build me up because he knows I have self confidence issues by complimenting me at least once a day and trying to get me to open about problems I have. I know he loves his wife, it isn’t an issue of that, but I know that his marriage isn’t where he wants it because he has told me that before. I make it a habit to talk about his wife, just because I’m paranoid about potential feelings developing that I obviously would not let continue because he is (obviously) married. Am I being paranoid? Is he being a good friend and trying to help me get out of my shell or should I be worried? I would love to not be worried, but guys have always sort of eventually fallen for me no matter how hard I try to avoid it happening. I don’t want him to have feelings for me either, so don’t think that, it’s just nice to have a friend and honestly I like the fact that he’s married because that’s sort of like a “you can’t like me because you’re married” type of deal and it makes me feel better when I get paranoid about stuff like this.
