I had two evil fake friends at around age ten. We were “friends” for a year then they stopped talking to me. What they’d do:
- made me do a few weird dares (one was going up to a girl during recess and asking her “do you know (her brothers name)” because they had an odd fascination with her brother. She said “why” looked at me weird. I just left).
- one said I have the smallest house in our whole friend group
- I got my toothbrush out of the wrapper in a camping field trip and one of them said “you just got it out? Do you brush your teeth?” I said “it was new for camp” and she gave the other fake friend a look
- there was a poster in our art class that read “LGBTQ+ is welcome here” one said “look! It has the G word (gay)” I said “it has the L word too” and then she went to a girl with two moms and said “(my name) said that poster has the L word” and they gave each other looks
- overall they were passive aggressive and immature with me, but nothing direct

*To get to the point* - their behavior towards me made me feel slightly bad. But i wasn’t like, level ten hurt or even a medium level of hurt. I was a little sad, and I didn’t like how they treated me. Alas, I was young, so I just stayed with them. From the stuff they did, would you call me thick skinned as a little girl?
