ok so my cousins birthday is on march 4th and I'm throwing his birthday party. so he loves Minecraft the video game so do the rest of us we paly it all the time together. his favorite is a creeper. so I decided to through him a Minecraft party. here are some of the details. i plan to make him a cake that looks like a creeper is favorite kind of cake obviously. I'm going to stick a bunch of green and black balloons on a board to make a creeper face and get darts to throw and pop them. I'm going to take cardboard to trace a Minecraft sword and then cut them out in styrofoam or something for a sword battle. im going to get a big round clear plastic tube and put cubes of green jello in it along with things like slinkies and mood rings and call it the slim pit. I'm going to get some green play grown balls and put some black on it to make them look like creeper faces for a came of dodge the creeper. going to make life-sized skeleton zombies spiders creepers out of some old cardboard boxes. I'm going to fill a table with little card that have Minecraft pictures like I'm going to take blue green black and yellow rock candy and put a card with a picture of a Minecraft emerald diamond coal and gold I'm going to put cheese puffs in a bowl with a Minecraft carrot picture and twice baked potatoes for baked potato and chocolate chip cookies for well cookies, he doesn't like mushrooms so instead im making his favourite fat kid soup and putting a picture for Minecraft mushroom soup im going to get silver plastic cups and put a little wire at the top so they look like bucket and fill them with blue Rasberry cool aid for a bucket of water cherry cool aid for bucket of lava or vanilla milkshake for bucket of milk. green grapes for slime balls and marshmallows for ghast tear pretzels for sticks Twizzlers for TNT. I'm going to send him out wall I set this all up and he has no idea. is this a good or bad idea?

So my boyfriend told me I should come to his friend's birthday party. Now I know nothing about his friend so no idea what to get him.

All I know is that his name is Jose.
Based on that and that only I'm thinking of getting him a sombrero or a chipotle gift card.
What would you suggest?
I'm serious no idea here so some help would be good.

One of my aunt's friends is getting ready to have a birthday, and she wants the party to be Mexican themed... except she's not Mexican. Some of her guests will be, but she is not. According to my aunt she wants to wear traditional dress and have her closest friends do the same, put flowers in their hair, decorate the party space with Mexican decor, serve Mexican food, have a Mariachi, etc. Some of my aunt's friends heard the idea and were a little appalled by it because she isn't Mexican and according to aunt, the friends feel it's wrong to use their culture, "as a theme."

Do the friends have a point, or are they making a bigger deal out of it, than it should be?
