pets are dogs

pests are bugs

the chipmunk lives in the TV flying planes

across the plains

patched over minds like fields of many muds

It is glorious

it is cold

it is barbarous

it is wrought with emotion &

emotions denial

Heavy on the fists but light on hands across the aisle

We’ve turned options into opportunism

& opportunities into ways to avoid the birthright of our

face to face

The safer the space the more we leave

without a trace

&

I’m not a sick man

but I see medicine in smiles

I guess it takes time to heal

& hope runs through seconds,

time enough to give it a while.
