These are a couple things my father did during my childhood and early teen years:

- Wake me up with a bucket of cold water late at night (usually when he was drunk) and made me play an instrument for his friends. If I didn't do it, he told me he would leave me outside in the cold for a whole day.

- If I did something wrong during my early childhood year, he would scream and threatened to kick me out or make me disappear. Though it was all talk in the end, it used to scare the hell out of me.

- He would joined in the taunting whenever two of his friends made jokes about me. My father himself called me a mistake out loud in front of them. They were all laughing and drunk.

- Literally threw me into the swimming pool to make me a better swimmer and that he was tired of me being a slow learner. Then he was laughing afterwards.

- He buried (only my head was sticking out) once as punishment for disobeying and left me there for hours.

Every single time I think about abuse, it's usually associated with your typical slapping around or getting beaten. I don't recall my father ever hitting me but sometimes I think what he did was just as bad or worse. It got to the point I used to have nightmares (sometimes I would wake up screaming) and constant flashbacks.

So dating this guy and he was drunk texting me annoying the life out of me to cuddle. I was actually in the mood for cuddles until he said the wrong name in the text. I just said go cuddle her friend and he was like easy mistake cause our names are so similar. And he was like I don’t even know a girl with that name.

So I obviously went and checked his insta and he has one girl on his list with that name who likes every photo of his. I said you do clearly know a girl with that name and my research skills are clearly better than yours.

We’re not exclusive but it’s the fact I feel he is lying to me and thinking he can outsmart me. I actually wouldn’t have minded being in a relationship with him but calling me the wrong name and lying about it has pissed me right off.

It was when he was drunk, high or under a lot of stress, and he always realized immediately and apologized. They broke up 8 months ago. Also we look a kind of alike. Do you think he's not over her and I'm a rebound, or is it a normal mistake?
