In an odd circumstance, I was recently contacted by a former bourdoir client. She had me shoot her as gifts to her boyfriend (now ex) and she was interested in going on a date. She mentioned how she felt comfortable with me, and like the fact that I treasured her of her natural beauty, when I didn't want to edit the images for "imperfections".

This got me thinking about other jobs I've done for fashion and bourdoir. Fashion in particular often requires me to edit blemishes and imperfections out of my images. Not something I'm particularily happy about, and something I strive to not do with bourdoir clients. I like to see beauty in all things, and when i sit down with a client, I try to break through the misconceptions of beauty and show them their natural beauty is much more powerful.

So, does the norms society puts on beauty hinder our views? Should the medias be willing to show the wrinkles, blemishes, stretch marks, etc? Or do we need the idilic images, edited to perfection, in order to fantisize and strive for, even if it's truly unattainable?

Throughout my life, I always noticed myself getting the hots for women much older than myself.

I couldn't act on it in most cases as a lot of those were teachers of friend's moms, but the attraction was there.

Sure, women my age are physically more attractive, but have you tried talking to the majority of them? I was absolutely shocked at how superficial, shallow, dramatic, and judgmental many of them are over such petty things.

I tend to much prefer... women in the 30-40 range, rather than late teens to early 20's.

Sure, they may have some wrinkles, stretch marks here and there, an imperfect figure, etc... but who gives a shit? 30-40 year old women tend to have a more calm, confident vibe, which I like.

Also, if a 30-40 year old looks good for her age, you know it'll last. While a 20 year old could let herself go by the time she reaches her 30's.
