romantic - dreams of love in the best light possible, goes out of their way to show their love, loves romantic music, movies, and novels, values their girlfriend/boyfriend above everything else, believes in true love and soul mates, believes thst love can last forever

realistic - has a more down to earth view of love, demonstrates their love more subtly, values their girlfriend/boyfriend, but to a realistic extent, does not like music, movies or novels with overly romantic themes, does not believe in soul mates, does not believe (or is very doubtful) that love can last forever

So I like my flatmate. We hang out a lot, we talk for ages and have the most random conversations. She doesn't know I like her and am possibly just a friend to her but I want to be more the problem is she has "sworn off men". I will be spending newyears eve with her and her friends which she invited me to. I really want to tell her how I feel about her but the down side would be it may destroy what we have right now if she doesn't feel the same way about me. And we live together and before you say it i know dating your flat mate isn't the smartest idea but smart ideas went out of the window. What should I do any advice would be appreciated.
