Top 5 couple-quirks that drive singles crazy

Of course we singles don’t begrudge couples – but only to a certain degree!
Because, let’s be honest.. as a single, the permanent smooching, sticking together and talking to each other using exclusive nicknames can get very annoying.
I mean, okay okay, we get it, y’all are in love and you wanna show it to the world, but please..😒
So as a single, here’s my personal Top 5 of things that annoy me about couples and, if you’re single as well, you can probably relate:

1. “One heart, one soul - one mind”

A fun day shopping with your bff? A relaxing TGIF beer with your best mate?
Haha, yeah, that used to be so nice in the good old days. Once a freshly in love couple has found one another they won’t let go of that ‘togetherness’ all that soon anymore, hence they gotta spend every waking minute together, kinda like siamese twins…

2. The well-meant “you’ll find someone”-conversation

It is only just that couples have reached the first breathing space in their relationship that they’ll turn to you with their diabolical plan to consult their single friends! You know, just because we’re single doesn’t mean we spent each night crying us to sleep and are absolutely eager to go onto a blind date. Dear insolent couples, please remember this!

3. “Kiss me!”, Hey! We’re having a conversation.

Not only is it that you can hardly even still have a proper conversation with your friend thanks to deceitful kissing attacks of their SO but he/she also has to complete her/his sentences all the time. Maddening!

4. “Booboo loves Kakak”

“Oh, booboo, could you get me this…”, “Yes of course, but only because you’re my little Kakak.”
Seriously, is there anything more embarrassing than those sometimes rather awkward nicknames couples give each other? And you don’t even have to be a single to be irritated by those weird verbal intimacies..

5. Kissing selfies

If you’re only half way active on social media and have at least 1 or 2 friends in a relationship, there’s no way you won’t have seen this before. Kissing photos! Uploaded on Instagram, Facebook and tumblr as an "eternal sign of their love" to the world. And a new one must be uploaded at least once a week to keep people up-to-date on the lovestory..

Of course not all couples do those things & I really hope you can all manage to see the humour in this take, although I was being serious about those points! ✌️

I agree with all of those!!! the most annoying is when they try to set you up with someone.. ugh... WTF..

3 out of 5 of these sound like you'd only be botheed by them if you weren't currently happy with your current relationship status.

Aside from "you'll find someone" when it's not warranted and the "one mind" part, why would you care? Lol.
When I'm single I don't care about other happy couples calling eachother by pet names. They're happy and I'm happy for them. Same goes for the kissing selfies, unless that's the only thing they eve post. As for kissing, when you're having a conversation as long as they don't turn it into a make out session and ditch you on a frequent basis... why would you care? I've had a conversation with a friend, when a girl randomly pulled him into the next room to have sex.
I was all for it xD. Good for him.

This just sounds like the lonely girl on Valentine's day lashing out.

The attached to the hips couples are confusing, because they kind of expect everyone else to be the same. This guy would ask my boyfriend to hang, so he thinks it's just the two of them, arrives there and sees his girlfriend is there too... and they wonder where I am.. 😂

As a single, I was never bothered by PDA of others. To me, it was a perfectly acceptable and adorable way to show how much they liked each other. I thought it was the normal thing to do at the beginning of every relationship that slowly phases out with time... I guess not lol

I was contemplating how to to make one without being seen as bitter or jealous by assuming couples
I'm single and some of my friends are in a relationship and I honestly don't care that they are in love but some things some couples do who I'm not friends with is annoying

Yeap, I can agree, esp with 1 and 2. All my best friends are getting married. My remaining single friends seem to running out very quickly. Most of my female friends are in long term relationships. Last time I went to a wedding of one of my oldest single friends. I was placed at the table with 2 couples despite there being other singles at the wedding. How inconsiderate! Then one my married friends says, "we should be doing more couple things together" and she turns to me and says "Hey why don't you get married already!". I felt so left out and undervalued. But hey, being single is still awesome, except when you are around couples.

All you people need to mind your own frickin business. A couple in love, married or not, have the right to express their love to one another whether you like it or not. Theyre NOT doing it to show off to you all, theyre doing it for the sole purpose of feeling close to that person. If its in public so be it. Its a free country. Who gives a rats what you single people think. If you're single and can't find someone, thats your frickin problem not ours!

Its way too annoying when all they talk about is each other. Man! Feel like we stopped existing. They can snoop around in your phone and can get away with " its not like have someone special, right?"
And when you even touch their phone by mistake they would be like " Oh honey I know you are my bff but you know its personal."
Gosh! Do I look like I would be interested in your stuff.
And then they would one day suddenly pop up on your door crying showing all those chats and telling you about the insane fact that they fought over... All the while you are thinking that 'wasn't it suppose to be private.'

My guess is that they feel happy and almost inebriated with love and they just want to share the feeling with the people they love. They sure don't do it to annoy anyone lol. They just want to be good friends. They don't realize how annoying it can be.

Lol yeah, even if you're in a relationship, your friend calling their significant other by a pet name all the time gets annoying. I have a friend who always calls her Korean boyfriend Oppa (it's a thing they do in Korea... Don't ask me) and it just gets to the point where I'm rolling my eyes at her whenever she says it. She ain't even Korean to begin with lol.

It really depends actually. I'm totally fine with a couple holding hands or just kissing in public but please keep the making out / weird nicknames for the bedroom lol

For me, I'm okay with holding hands only. It's mostly because I live in a conservative society and kissing in public would look vulgar, so couples generally hold hands. It looks more cute that way, like some mangas and k-dramas. :3
