I know she's been hurt before and is scared of letting people close, but I've told and shown her how much she means to me, how much I love her and that I'd fight for her till the end of days. Yet even though I know and I can see she feels the same way about me, she's holding back. She tells me I'm her "home" and what not but she won't say "I love you" and she won't fight for me, she rather backs off and closes down. But I'm serious about her and I need to see she'll fight for me like I'll fight for her, but nothing. She won't do it no matter what. Am I expecting too much or what's the problem? I know it's in there and I know she has this fire inside her and she'd fight for her sister even if it'd kill her, but for some reason she refuses to do it for me even if I'm 100% positive she loves me. Why?

I'll keep this simple: these will be Job #1 and Job #2.

I currently work in Job #1. It is within my field of study. I don't make a LOT of money, but it pays me better than many, many jobs out there and it is more than substantial to live on comfortably and even take an occasional vacation. My benefits aren't AMAZING, but they are good for me. I love my job. It makes me very happy. I have learned many great skills and met many incredible people, with the lists under both columns growing every day. I work Monday-Friday from 6am to 2pm. There is occasional overtime when I want it, but I am not obligated to do so. My supervisors are extremely lenient with time off with enough notice, a valid reason, of if I get someone to cover me. I'm well-respected by my supervisors, upper management, and even corporate leadership. There is opportunity to climb the ladder to a significantly higher ranking position with a sizeable raise, and I'm even one of the favorites for said positions. I've built some tenure and experience with my company and my field.

Job #2 is another possibility, but I would need to apply. However, given my education, experience, qualifications, and their need for staff, I am 100% certain I would get the job. It is very, very similar to work I've done before, so I am experienced. There are opportunities to climb the ladder substantially. It is rotating 12-hour shifts, and I'd be at work every other weekend. The job itself would pay almost 1.5x as much as my current job pays me now AS A START, and would pay even more if I climb the ladder. They'd offer me fantastic benefits and sign-on bonuses. Downside? It's the exact same type of work in the exact same type of environment I have worked before, and I HATED it. I may not hate it now since I have matured a LOT since then, but I remember dreading going to work every single day and hating myself for it. Financially it would be great for me. Mentally / emotionally? Not so much.
