Unrequited Love: Its the feeling of being completely, hopelessly, desperately in love with someone, all the while knowing that your feelings will never reach them. Its contradictory in that you feel incredible because you love someone so much, but also at the same time you feel almost overwhelming despair because you will never know what it is like to hold them in your arms, or touch their face, or kiss their lips. You will never know what it is like to wake-up next to them in bed in the morning, bodies entwined.

First of all We are co-workers. We jelled well firstly and she even asked me to hangout alone and chked whether am single. She gave out her number without me asking her we started spking and chatting daily. She took at least an hr to reply my texts but nvr delayed in returning my calls. She evn called me after 10pm and we spoke like 30mins. She asked help from me and all and eventually invited to her house for evng snack and introduced to her parents. I took all these as IOI and After 6 months or so. I told her i like her and proposed. She said NO saying she is older than me. I took it as rejection and took it like a man. Then we were very normal as if nthng hpnd. But after a week she was awkward and starting to ignore me like a plague. I didn't give up speaking to her. I talked to her like wishing hi and bye gud mrng etc... this went on like for 2 weeks. Then my b'day came. She was suddenly her oldself the one before i professed. Was very funny and flirty towards me. I thought she spoke to me like that since it was my b'day and so she spoke that way not to hurt me on my b"day. Gave her a nice chocolate gift to her that evng. She was stunned to see me giving such a big choc box as gift and she reluctantly accepted after my insistence. After this, the tables turned. She invited me for group lunch and we regularly having group hangout with our mutual frnz coffee. She was not at all btherd of my prescence and starting to be shy twrds me. Slightly strtd Flirting and teasing me and gave nicknames. Mirroring my actions with tease. Looking at me whn am nt lukin and wen i ask she said nthng and hot and cold reactions. Jokes at me. When i tease her she laufingly ask wht hpnd to u today. U seem diff. She knws whn i signin and signoff. Her eyes sparkle when she see me accidently and when i say hi. She looks at me for 2secs and say hi. She is flirty with all and wen am arnd she acts diff arnd me.
Does her feelings chngd over time? Is she playin hard to get?

This came to me after remembering Abraham Cowley's poem about unrequited love. For a long time, since I was a teenager, I thought unrequited love was the greatest pain. I no longer believe that, though I can understand the perspective of those who do.

So I ask you GAGers, what is the most painful emotional experience/feeling regarding love?
