So Im living in mixed dormitory at university with about 20 people on the whole floor. Im the eldest on the whole floor, and Im only really good friends with one of the girls, and two other guys.
The issue here is that my boyfriend says he wants to get to know all my flatmates, and wants to join me when I go out clubbing or to the pub with all of them. But Im still in a phase of getting to know a whole lot of them myself so Im not super comfortable about that except him joining me if Im just going out with my close girl friend from my flat which we've done before.

The reason he wants to join me going out with them though is because he says he just want to make sure they're safe people and that I should maybe get a second "outside" opinion of these people. Is that being unreasonable because I've never had any kind of boyfriend go THAT far. And he seems to think its normal and reasonable when in fact its making me feel incapable, delicate and naive somehow when Im actually a grown woman by now and Im quite well aware of what people seem trust worthy and not.

Is he actually being unreasonable or am I being too hard on him saying I want boundaries and that I can make those judgements for myself?

Around a month ago my boyfriend Craig went on his work night out. He ended up getting fairly drunk, and had texted me at 11pm when he was on the way home from the city.

Around a week later when I met up with him, he told me he hadn’t gone straight home and had went to a nightclub in our hometown once he got back from the city and partied until 3am - getting even more drunk. So, I got suspicious about why he didn’t text me to tell me about the nightclub part - as I assumed he’d be going straight home.

Then, he added in that he had to apologise for his behaviour to one of his female colleagues (Laura) that Monday at his work. I assumed he’d done this face to face, but only more recently he told me he sent her an apology via his work email. This got me suspicious as well, because I thought why the heck does he feel he needs to apologise to Laura... because anytime I asked him why he felt embarrassed, he just said it was because he’d gotten so drunk - but why apologise if you did nothing wrong and were just having fun.

He stills seems pretty embarrassed with himself about the night out - but when I tried to question him about why he felt the need to apologise to Laura and asked if he was interested in her, he got really insulted and annoyed that I thought so lowly of him.

What he doesn’t seem to get is that I feel pretty annoyed he chose to visit this club with his work colleagues knowing Laura would be there, and then went and stood with Laura and her friends. I’d say for a man who is not single he should have headed home after coming back from the city - and not went clubbing til 3am. I’m so agitated about this and he still doesn’t see why I’m annoyed.

He claimed he didn’t want to even mention it because he knew I’d react badly. But if I’d had a straight up honest truth of what happened the day after the night out I wouldn’t have been annoyed (or as annoyed at least).

So, I literally hadn't seen my boyfriend properly for weeks there because I've been busy with university and exams etc.

Anyway, during the time I've been studying. He had a work night out last week, and had texted me saying he was almost home at around 20 past 11 at night.

Yesterday I saw him properly for the first time and had said that he had ended up not going home and went to a local night club with some of his work mates. He told me he ran into the secretary from his work (Emma) at the nightclub and asked if he could stand with Emma because the club was full of 16/17 year olds. Emma and my boyfriend are both in their 20s.

He then told me he'd apologised to her at work when he saw her the next day, and I asked what he'd felt he needed to apologise for. He said it was because he'd been dancing and swinging Emma and her friends around on the dancefloor while he was drunk and was nervous in case he'd embarrassed her and her friends. I immediately thought to myself... why care whether you'd embarrassed her or not?

He then went onto say that he thinks one his workmates had mentioned he 'used to have a thing for Emma' at some point during the night (why I needed to know that, I don't know) and to that I said "are you sure it isn't you that has a thing for her?" to which he replied "you better be kidding! No, I don't fancy Emma" but as he said that, his eyebrows twitched nervously. And it made me wonder if he's lying to me.

He also mentioned someone at his work said they'd saw the videos of him from the night before and he said he felt nervous about that. Why feel nervous about someone taking a video of you as well?

I just don't know what to think to be honest, he may well be telling the truth and I'm making a big deal out of nothing, but it made me feel kinda suspicious.
