When a woman friend-zones a man and the man complains about it, we pour scorn on him, telling him that he’s ‘entitled’ and ‘bitter’ and that he should be grateful that this woman wants to be his friend. When a man sex-zones a woman and the woman complains about it, we comfort her and agree with her that the man is scum. We don’t tell her (even though we should) that she, like the complaining friend-zoned man, is entitled and bitter and that she should be grateful that this man wants to have sex with her.



Is this double standard because friend-zone is mostly something that happens to men, whereas sex-zone is mostly something that happens to women?

I also think the people who complain are pathetic. Sex-zone and friend-zone are BOTH really easy to avoid, and the people who experience them are not victims.

I’ve also noticed that even FRIEND-zoned females get sympathy.

I sometimes read questions about guys ranting about not having a girlfriend or sometimes ranting how their lives suck etc And the answers are usually Oh look another bitter lonely man who's jealous of others and wonders why he's single/lonely. But when I read questions about women ranting the tone of the answers are usually Don't feel bad you'll find someone special he's out there you just have to look harder etc etc etc. I know I'm not the only one who notices this from time to time. I just don;t understand how a guy can get rude answers while the women get polite ones? I know what that feels like because I've been there. I don't see nothing wrong with ranting once in a while just as long as both sexes get the same type of responses. I've realized I'm never gonna be in a relationship all because I'm not some pretty boy jerk girls seem to want. I'm I ranting no just telling it how it is at times. But that doesn't mean I need rude advice.
