Jasper is 26 years old. His wife, someone he loved very much has recently died after giving birth to their child. Jasper started drinking, smoking, grambling and eventully became homeless. He had fansties about throwing his baby daughter off a cliff, so he gave the baby to his mother and younger brother until he was able to get his shit together.

Jasper is 11 years old. He lives with his mother who recently gave birth to a deaf baby named Milo. Milo's biological father used to abuse Jasper and Kara. It tramatized Jasper so much that he'd wet the bed and have nightmares even after he left.
Giving birth did a lot of damage to Kara physically. She's very physically weak, and faints often so Jasper had to help take care of Milo daily. Even at night, Jasper had to sleep with Milo in his bed, often waking up at 3 in the morning, to cuddle Milo or change his diaper. Since Kara was still sick, Jasper had to be home schooled to help around the house. He eventually lost contract with his friends.

When Kara found out that Jasper wet the bed for the 5th time, she told her friend about it and how worried she is about him. The friend laughed and said maybe he needs diapers too. ( Jasper overhead this)
