Is this ever a good idea? Or does this put too much pressure on the girl/guy? And note this is assuming the opposite gender knows how you feel, but wants to remain friends

In my personal situation my crush likes another guy and wants to remain friends with me ONLY because she feels her and that other guy might have a future together(as in dating, not marriage LOL).

However she knows how I feel(I made a couple moves in the past), and does give me mixed signals of attraction and pure "friendliness" and I was curious if it would be OK to just straight up ask her "Do you think we could ever become more then friends?"

Also if anyone has any experience with this "question"... have they ever said yes and you eventually became more then friends(And vice versa)? Have they ever said the opposite (no) but then you eventually went out in the future?

And fyi: The poll is dedicated to the topic question. But feel free to vote if you feel if it also applys to my personal scenario

At the age of 5, my ultimate dream job was a Dolphin Trainer. Today few decades later I have my chance, and so do thousands of other people nation wide. Most likely I will not make it, but this weekend I will put my full effort and energy on that application, and if anyone has any ideas that may be an asset in the application, let me know. All they asked for is a good application.

I am not a marine biologist or anything more than a factory worker, but the application notice did not require anything special, other than good swimming skills, commitment, minimum age of 18, and other small details.

To all of you people here in Girls Ask Guys, out there in the world, remember that taking even the smallest of chance is better than nothing. If you meet failure, the comfort of it all is knowing you gave your best and that is the most any human can do.

Anyways, just thought I would ask people on here to see what people think of this.

OK there really isn't a good category to put this in but I want to ask this question to see what others think. I have a background check coming up for a job. On the pre-check paperwork I put down that I have smoked marijuana X number of times in my life and the last being in 2010. (i'll leave out the number so it doesn't mess with the poll) I also put that it was just experimentation and was something I did when I was younger and I have grown from that bad experience and moved on.

Now this company doesn't have a Zero Tolerance policy in fact they have a 3 strikes policy. They try to help you before they fire you but this is only if you are hired in the first place. I have a spotless background and have never been arrested or even caught with marijuana but I had to put it down because a lie detector is going to take place also.

So by your definition what would you consider to be "excessive use" or "use beyond youthful experimentation"

Try to place yourself in a hiring position when thinking about this answer. Remember this person has a spotless record and has excellent recommendations and is a really good candidate for the job but he has smoked marijuana in his past. How would you handle this?

DISCLAIMER: "healthier lifestyle" = improved diet, as well and improved activity levels (I hate the word "exercise"; sounds like a chore)

Some people follow a healthier lifestyle for aesthetic reasons, cauz they want to look good in their swimwear, in their dresses, suits, jeans, etc...and overall want to look their best by having their body, as well as several parts of their body (abs, midsection, arms, back shoulder, etc)...

...to look as good (fit, sculpted, sexy, or any adjective this person strives for) as possible.

Some people follow a healthier lifestyle for health-based reasons, to prevent major illnesses (cancer, stroke, etc) and minor illnesses (flu, high blood pressure, etc) as much as possible...as well as also being focused on having high energy levels and mental alertness.

Both are extremes, and most people are a blend of the two. But let's be honest...most people are usually more focused on one or the other; it's rarely a perfect 50-50 ratio.

So my question to you is...what is your ratio of concern for "looks/physique/aesthetics" and "overall good health"?

I truly believe deep down in my heart, that in order to be in overall good shape, you have to know how to prepare and cook your own food, because you get to ultimately control the food that goes in your body.

This is especially important in the USA where the "typical" diet is a road to preventable illnesses and degenerate health.

If a girl did the above action to a stranger, would you think that she is leading the guy on, being a tease, or being an attention-whore?

The reason why I ask this is b/c, not to be an ass, but I find no reason to compliment a stranger of the gender you're sexually attracted to...

...unless you're interested in that person.

Otherwise, why lead the person on?

Ex. I wouldn't walk up to a female stranger that I have ZERO interest in and say "your hair is really nice", "your makeup is really pretty", or "I love your legs".

Cauz frankly, that's an opening line to talk to someone of interest, and doing that would give the wrong message.

Ironically the moto of GaG is something like "get HONEST answers" though most of them, like.. 90% and up actually are anything but honest!

I've noticed a few trends here, the Nr.1 thing flying around here is "be confident" and "have a good personality" and "looks don't really matter that much" that goes for both genders.

But hey, take a look at the Reality check and damn you won't believe your eyes, there guys bash girls with unbelievable cruelty especially those who look bad, but really pretty ones get high scores and positive(and borderline to perverted) comments even if the date description indicates sucky and boring date!

So why lie so much on the questions & answers? To make other people feel better about themselves? So why such bashing to the SAME girls on the Reality check?

I'll admit it's not the bashing I'm opposed to but it's the lies and hypocrisy I despise about all this!

Do you like to receive 'good morning' texts?

I personally don't like them, they are annoying. when you know a lot of girls and some of them send it. It's not my thing to text back 5 or 6 girls 'morning' when I wake up. So, I ignore them and text them later in the day 'hey, what's up?'.

Ok so I have this really cute co-worker whom I'm good friends with and recently I've become interested in her.

How should I go about this? Should I try asking for a number first? Then work my way up from there? Or maybe if she's single before even asking for the number first?

Or should I ask if she's single and would like to go out on a date, then grab the number if she says yes?(Not literally gonna ask "if she wants to go out on a date" FYI)
