Some back story. I matched her on tinder. We talked through Snapchat. Before we could meet up I went out of town for work for a few months. In that time she met someone and they dated. Told her I didn't want to talk to her if she wasn't single.

Recently she posted on her story that she's single. Not out right subtle but well enough so people would ask her about it.

I'm still out of town for another month or so. Do I make a response now to her story and put myself on her mind (could come off as desperate or something and she might not be ready to think about dating again.) or should I wait until I'm closer to being home (she might find someone else or won't remember me. Might be playing it too casual.)?

I know y'all will probably tell me to hit her up but honestly. If you just broke up with someone would you be wanting to find a relationship again quickly? Would really give someone a chance or would youuse them as emotional support/validation, a rebound?

Or should I read this from the obvious and say she wasn't into me that much if she dated someone else. The only reason I hesitate to go with this option firstly is because there is a distance. We have never met. When considering dating someone I don't really consider them until after we met. I wasn't a real option or on the table since we never met, at least that's my thought on it.

I started talking to this girl not too long ago and we we're interested in dating and relationships and stuff. Things went initially very well, and she opened up to me about some family issues, her last relationship and sexual history.
Anyway, first date we both expressed how excited we were, but she said she had a migraine and asked to go home. She shared she wasn't fully over her ex and I tried to be extremely understanding, because I was the same a few months ago and it hasn't paid off.
She has been very quiet with me, and we got into a few conversations about things. The other day I was unhappy with how she was talking with me and asked if she actually liked me and if I was another rebound.
She said I wasn't and she liked me. She had a big conversation with me about things and said I didn't listen. But I told her I heard everything she told me, but it was stupid to obsess about someone who broke up with her ,8 months ago and to ignore a guy who cares so much for her.
Since then I found her Instagram, and she has over 900 followers and poses in her swimsuit a lot. She seems more of an attention whore.
I told her we should get together Saturday just to have fun. Play the new Mario game, eat food. Stuff like that. She said she'd let me know if she was free. She's not messaged me since.
Do I follow up? She goes back up for school in a week.
