When I say “ younger” I mean legally younger of course. The whole male vs female sexual predator thing can be a different topic/poll.

On the surface I personally observed that it’s more “woke” and PC nowadays to trash on older men dating much younger women as creeps while propping older women who date young men as “free minded and attractive cougars”.

However I think most people quietly judge older women more harshly than older man. Reason being is that older men have been marrying much younger women all through human history (especially if they were political/powerful). Facetious as it sounds there was a time if an older man could land a much younger attractive woman it meant he REALLY had something going for him. He was looked at as very alpha/successful: It could be fame, money, looks, special talents, etc but something about him very attractive to females despite his age.

It’s also considered more natural from an evolutionary aspect that older woman might not be as attractive to younger men due to fertility issues. Most men don’t even consciously realize that they often judge attraction on the perceived fertility of the woman they really attractive.

Again people usually don’t go around saying that above publicly because it’s “sexist” and draw them feminist ire. However it’s the ugly truth.

When I was 13 years old and she was 14, we were playing hide and seek. We hid together underneath the bed. Her butt was facing me and she accidentally touched my private area with her butt. We both got turned on and started to dry hump. I came and our relationship was broken after that. We saw things as very awkward between us.
Fast forward today when I am 20 years old and she has a boyfriend, she sent me a follow request in instagram. I think she means only family business of course. We both regret what we did. We never talked about it and pretend it didn’t ever happen but deep inside, we knew that we had sexual attraction towards each other which is what ruined our relationship. We were great cousins.

Let's say you meet someone new. You are not physically attracted to them, but you two share mutual interests and your personalities mesh quite well.

Some time later, this person makes it known that he/she has feelings for you and would like to pursue a romantic relationship with you. At this stage, you know the person very well and enjoy hanging out with them. Your personalities still mesh, but you are still not physically attracted to them.

Would you consider dating this person based mainly on personality? Or do you believe there must also be a spark of physical/sexual attraction for a romantic relationship to work?
