Search Results: asking anonymously

Do you remember that time you rejected that person harshly, or pushed them down, or made them eat their parents? This is your chance to confess and/or brag about what you did (if you're like that). How did you feel after you did that thing? and how long did it take for the guilt to set in, if it set in at all.

Also, I think it'd be more fun if you guys don't do it anonymously, but you can if you want to. But don't go and call people a-holes if they confess, because they probably feel guilty enough (I know I do).

Here, I'll go first: The meanest thing I ever did was in the sixth grade. I was young, stupid, and didn't really think about how others felt. One day, I was with my friends, and this girl came up to me, and asked me to be her boyfriend. She wasn't ugly at all, in fact, I'm pretty sure she was one of the nicest girls in the class. She had been giving me hints in class that she liked me, although I didn't realize it until after the event. Anyway, and I feel terrible about this, I just walked away and laughed. I have no idea why I did it. It was probably the worst thing I've ever done. Afterwards, in class, I'd catch her looking at me, but I was so stupid that I couldn't bring myself to apologize and ask her out. Only a year later did I realize the fact that this girl had serious guts, coming up and asking a guy out like that, in front of his friends. I also realize what a complete a-hole I was, doing what I did. Its been almost four or five years, but I don't think I'll ever forget that. I can't imagine how she felt, and I'm still so incredibly sorry. I try not to think about that day all the time, but it still manages to pop into my head once or twice a week, and I feel like the worst person on the earth. I've tried finding this person on Facebook, and I couldn't. Maybe if I just told her how sorry I was, I could get rid of this guilt; if only I could find her.

I was asked by the asker to come out as to who wrote the answer.

I choose to write a lot of my answers anonymously for the very reason I left in the comments of that answer. I also do it because I like being able to simply give an answer without any fear of anyone getting upset with me. It's freeing not to be judged by anything other than the little bit you give out in answer.

However, as a one time offer for this question, and only this question, by show of hands I'm asking who wants to know who I am? There were 30 answers to that question... I'm looking for a certain number of responses to this one (yes or no). If I get enough responses I will take the majority vote. If I do not get enough responses then I will stay in hiding.
