How many guys actually want a girlfriend who is submissive to them?

You can answer anonymously if you like. But it seems like a lot of guys say they want a girl with their own mind, who makes their own decisions, and will stick up for what they want. But how many would actually like a submissive girlfriend, who said yes to everything and didn't argue or disagree with you.

Note: I'm not asking for personal reasons, I'm just curious as to whether guys really want what they say they do.

Submissive. I like to call the shots, and make the decisions and have a girlfriend that doesn't argue.

Not submissive. I want a girlfriend who challenges me and will give her opinion on everything.

The poll options you classified are a bit of either extreme and neither closely match how I feel about the topic.

With women - I'd rather have someone that has a similar energy level to my own; however, in different aspects of the relationship I would prefer to have more one wuality or the other.. For instance, in the bedroom - submissive, in an argument - not submissive yet respectful, in the relationship (general) not-submissive.. etc

Each side has it's own seperate great qualities.. But the picture I'm painting is an extreme for both cases.. For A (submissive) it would be the introvert/shy girl that always goes with the flow.. For B (not-submissive) it's the girl that would be outgoing and not spend much time on getting to know "me" for me, she just says what she wants and moves on to the next thing.

It truly needs to be a combination of the two to be effective. You can't be shy all the time and you can't be a boss all the time.. You have to know when to take the lead and when to let someone else take the reigns for a while - sometimes you don't even have to give up full power, you can share it equally.

Well I've yet to have a girlfriend (unfortunately) so you can take my opinion with a grain of salt. I'm sure once you get one you learn a lot about what you want and need in a partner.

I don't want a submissive girlfriend. I don't really want a servant, I just want somebody to love. I'm kind of a feminist, pro-women's rights guy myself. I don't consider myself submissive but I'm definitely not the dominant type. It makes me feel good to see women empowered. I really like it when women are assertive and bold. I consider them as equals and I like it when they're expressive and open. I like the fact that women are different from me and I want a girl to be her own person, not a person subservient to me.

im sure there are some insecure abusive control freaks out there that want a girl like that. I'm sure guys don't want some girl that is always battling him on unnecessary things but if he wants a mindless stepford wife style girl that says yes no matter what and doesn't argue or disagree he got problems, people have minds of their own

I know you're asking for guys' opinions, but I can't imagine how dull, boring and unfulfilling it would be to date someone who said yes to everything and never disagreed with me. I need to be with someone who challenges me intellectually and has their own interests, beliefs, goals, and desires.

I think you need a mixture of both, It gets boring having to make all the calls sometimes. I want a girl that can be submissive but also have a mind of her own. For me when I'm in a relationship I have 2 rules that she must follow. 1. she has to be herself, that means that if she doesn't like my choice of restaurant or would like to do something different then she needs to tell me. I don't want to get to know who you think I want you to be, if I didn't want to get to know you I wouldn't be with you. And to let you know, 2. if you cheat I'm gone, I don't do bull crap, I don't care what your excuse is, I'm 100% faithful and expect the same.

I don't think I could handle a submissive girlfriend, maybe one who could be on occasion ;) But not full-time submissive...I think it's because my first gal was very strong-minded and we basically always struggled for who wore the pants lol But I can be indecisive sometimes and I kinda need someone around who's able to say what they mean and mean what they say. Though, I'd rather chicken out and call it consideration rather than indecision lol I wouldn't want to do something the other person didn't enjoy, that's all. A relationship is supposed to be a happy thing.

Having a submissive girlfriend would actually be frustrating. Sure at first it might be nice to know that I can't do anything to screw up, but after a while I WILL lose interest. If she acts more like my pet than she does my partner, then I'd just get a dog.

There is a girl I go to school with that seems to like me. And I mean this literally, there seems to be nothing that I say or do that is wrong. It's almost annoying, like she's trying to hard. I don't see her in that way anyway, but if I did like a girl like that I would just wonder where her individuality and personality went.

When I want a woman, I really mean that I want a women who acts like a PERSON too. We all have opinions, beliefs, feelings, etc. so why should she hide hers? A girl needs to be her own person because I really don't feel like being her "master" or whatever you could call it.

I don't want a counterpart that would just agree with me. I am wrong a lot and its never a bad thing to tell me so. No man should feel threatened by his significant other telling him something is not a good idea. And no women should be afraid for any reason to voice her opinion.

The way I see it is I need to also know when she comes up with a better idea as part of being a good leader is knowing that you don't know everything. As far as the bedroom goes I want someone submissive 100%, I completely turned off by dominant women

I don't even think submissive girlfriend exists anymore...these days it's all about "girl power". Even when a man want an asian wife, women all over would shame that man accusing him of wanting a "stepford wife". I would rather deal with a submissive gf/wife any day than having to deal with a loud mouth feminist who don't think highly of men and criticizes a man whenever he raises a point. Ask any married men out there what would they rather have. I am saying all these because as we stand today...women are constantly bashing men and masculinity. Why?
