I’m a straight girl and so is my family friend, who is around my age. We had good childhood memories, have been family friends since we were around four years old, sometimes (but RARELY) have solid conversations (I’ll get to why in a moment). I know her siblings and parents, and our families visit each other once in a while. Why I don’t like her: every. Single. Time we go somewhere (someone else’s house, graduation parties, birthday parties, etc.) she complains that she wants to go home to her mom, whiny-annoyed-tone-of-voice with scoffs and everything. Like she’s having a tantrum. She says “can we GO now? Hurry up! I want to leave! I’m so bored” every few minutes. She’s always on her phone, the whole entire time there are get-togethers. She doesn’t take her face off the screen. We used to be good friends, but she changed, and I don’t like her anymore. Wrong or not? And why?

Back drop to the story is when I was 19, I ended up in a bad place. Found a guy that I practically loved, but at the same time was going through a bit of turbulence in my life at the time and had to drop out of my university course etc which was completely embarrassing for me.

Anyway, I was drinking heavily at the time each weekend. And then I met this aforementioned guy - and I really really liked him. Like seriously, had never felt like I did about someone before him. Things went swimmingly to begin with, and I forgot about all of the other troubles during that time.

Things had been too good to be true, only for him to decide early on that he didn't want things to go further, and he was also 'bored' because I wouldn't sleep with him. I don't believe in sex before marriage - and it's a good job in that situation that I didn't.

So I was extremely upset at the time, felt even worse than I had before. A few months after the split, he invited me to a house party at his and I agreed to go (naively hoping we'd sort things out).

I went over drunk to find that he'd taken drugs and was trying to pursue a relationship with one of my friends who I'd went to school with.

So me and my friend were sitting together, only two girls at the party, and all the other guys in the room were taunting us with 'you should kiss'. Now, I'm in no way a believer of this kind of thing. But my drunken self saw this as an opportunity to get back at my ex for hurting me like he did.

So we kissed like very briefly, maybe 3-4 seconds and my ex walked in and got extremely annoyed. As I had hoped at that time.

However a now more mature me, who is t-total and settled in another relationship with no contact with my ex still feels extreme regret and shame about what I did. Especially when my motives were as sour as they were. The thought still haunts me, because I stand for the exact opposite of everything I did.

I mean seriously, will I ever lay this to rest? I'm so ashamed.

My friend Addie has tickets to the Super Bowl. She got discount tickets from her uncles work. It’s her, her sister, her mom, dad, aunt, uncle and two cousins that went. I got invited but I didn’t have $900 to give them and my parents said no. They got end zone seats section 141 row 12. (Which look like good seats). We are from Los Angeles and my friend got in Minneapolis on Thursday and all her snaps are bitching about how cold it is. How she wants to come home. How her seats are shitty? Because they aren’t section F3-5 or sideline seats (your lucky you even got seats to the Super Bowl and at such a huge discount rate). They bought the tickets back in November before they New the teams. She’s bitching she doesn’t like the patriots or eagles and nobody in her family had an jerseys. She’s gonna be bored throughout the game. The only good thing about it is halftime. She can’t wait to come home. Her parents don’t like either of the teams but are staying because they spent money on the tickets and they are already in Minnesota. Her family is annoying her. Like you got decent seats for the Super Bowl at a huge discount and your bitching? If I didn’t have this friend I don’t think I would ever be presented the opportunity to go to the super bowl for $900. (Granted I’m not going but still). The cheapest seats are like $3500 and they are nosebleed or at least they were. This is what it looks like from her section and she’s row 12!
