My "friend" told him I liked him and that i was going to ask him to a dance coming up. The thing is, that isn't true at all as I already had a date. His brother went on IG live and told everyone I was going to ask him to the dance. He texted my friend and was like "i can't go because i have a game, but i dont want her to be embarrassed if she asked me and i said no. I dont want to lose her as a friend." I texted him saying it was a big misunderstanding about the dance and he was like "hahahaha its all good no worries." so i expected everything to be cool between the two of us and then back at school the past few days he's been avoiding walking by me and keeps looking from a distance. A month ago he heard from my "friend" that I was thinking of asking him to sadie hawkins dance, which wasn't true because I already had a date. He didn't act different for that month. The other day I added him on snap as a friend, and HIS BROTHER went on IG live and was like "who's that girl that was going to ask you to the dance? and said my name. Then he called a mutual "friend," apologized for his brother, and calmly explained he already had a game that day and he's not interested in those dances, blah blah blah. The thing is, I think this "friend" told him I had feelings for him, which i sorta do. The problem is, i don't know how much she told him and if she might have lied to me or him...

The day after he told her he had a game and stuff, I texted him letting him know that I wasn't going to ask him in the first place, and that me and the "friend" he told, weren't even close. He replied "hahahaha its all good no worries" and i thought everything would be cool.

I went back to school today and he sorta ignored me by going out a different door so he wouldn't have to pass me. Why do you think he avoided walking past me?
