Met a guy at work who would make me laugh and I found very attractive. We'd flirt all the time but he had an on and off relationship with a girl he'd been with for 4 years. They had a baby and ended the relationship, had a one night stand and had another child.
Before I went away for holiday, he had started visiting where I work after having leave for an op. he was flirting with me heavily and took my number.
When I went away I had a bad experience with a guy which wasn't consented. When I got back I wasn't myself. Sex wasn't very important to me.
We met several times, he lives quite a while away so I would stay over but nothing happened till the 3rd night and it was all on my terms. To begin with it was just sex and I knew that. But it grew and we became more intimate in other ways. He told me he loved me very early which worried me but after giving him a chance to take it back I didn't think about it much.
I realised majority of the relationship was staying indoors eating junk food watching films and listening to him talk about his ex. It was hard because they were still in contact as they'd had children. However I felt like I was a shrink rather than his gf.
8 months later I decided to go on a break so he could get his thoughts together - his ex is on cocaine and is sleeping around with the kids in her place. He had every reason to be worried.
Recently we met up to talk as the break wasn't helping due to is still working together. It was clear he's not over his ex, which was an issue raised early in the relationship. He didn't know much about me. I asked him questions which he couldn't answer. Yet he was saying everything is been feeling for the last few months. It was confusing.
My worry is that I'm a rebound and that even though he sometimes seems like he cares, I mean nothing to him.

Be honest do you dislike/hate your current job?

I do. I'm freaking tired of call centers. Even worst, calling from home for 6-7 boring hours, just to earn so little, do the same 1 min verification script over and over, waking up people as early as 8am (the same time I have to log in too), it being a dead-end job I'll never get promoted nor do something that's actually productive for a company, forced to make calls on freaking Sundays and some holidays, never having a real vacation, and that's not giving me a chance to go out and start dating again.

I really can't wait to resume classes again so I can get it over with already. I'll be done with college towards the ending of this year. I also look forward towards making a business, even if it were a small business but at least me being the owner.

We've been friends all through high school and we know basically everything about each other. He thinks our friendship is solid but I feel like I do all the work. I don't feel like I'm getting out of it what I used to from him. He used to be really sweet and made me laugh a lot and feel special. Every time he'd walk in the room I'd smile. Now it's more like I cringe a little. He's said he feels comfortable around me so I take that to mean that he doesn't need to make any effort any more. He can just be how he is and I'll keep giving him rides and helping him out whenever he asks.

I figure after this summer we will only see each other when we're home for holidays/summer, so this will solve itself. I have to see him every day at school until May but I don't have to talk to him. I just feel used and taken advantage of, even though he thinks we're great friends.

How much do you put up with from someone who used to be nice but just isn't making you feel the way you used to?

Hi, so I've worked with this guy for the past two months or so. I have heard whispers that he has a girlfriend - a fairly reliable source has told me that he told another colleague he has. HOWEVER, from day one I noticed him looking at me/watching me a lot. For example, I would be eating lunch and would look up & see him watching me. Recently i was standing beside his cubicle talking to another colleague and he stared at me (in an obvious manner), while I spoke to the colleague. 2 friends of mine have pointed out to me that they have noticed him watching me and looking at me and one said she saw him "leering ".

I notice anytime I arrange lunch for our team (which hasn't been often) he makes an effort to come.

He has also never mentioned a girlfriend to me and has said he is living with other male friends- a bit unusual for someone in his 30s with a supposed girlfriend?

I notice he laughs a lot around me and at my jokes and if I'm chatting close to his cubicle he will almost always look up and join in the conversation.

Finally, I notice he stands in really close proximity to me when we speak and when we were breaking up for the holidays, he noticed me giving female colleagues a hug goodbye and stood up and asked me for one.

Despite all the above and despite coming to organised lunches he doesn't tend to come to the canteen every day at lunch where he knows I would be- surely he would do this if he liked me?

Just wondering if he does fancy me. Can't help but think my female colleagues' insistence that he fancies me and has been staring at me is wishful thinking on their part (they know I really like him). and that the other signs are just signs that he finds me a funny and interesting person who he would like to befriend- he is new, so obviously wants to make friends.

How should I go forward with this? Awkward given he almost certainly has a gf (even if she is not serious) and that we are colleagues.

Christmas is one of the most commercialized holidays and for many people, it is all based on the gifts. The meaning of Christmas is lost and the idea of selfless giving is not very common.

Just out of curiosity, how many people are returning gifts because someone bought you something that just "isn't you"?

There is nothing wrong with returning things... For instance, my sister-in-law gifted me a makeup set with the whole nine yards included... I however don't wear make up... Not even for fun. While appreciative and gave thanks, I am going to return it for something I will actually use.

So my guy and I have dated for about 6 months. There are a couple things I'm not happy with in the relationship. He won't label us as boyfriend girlfriend. He says we're basically bf gf because we're exclusive. He still lives at home and always has to get his parents okay to do pretty much anything. I'm not expecting him to get his own place but I think he's satisfied just living at home. We only see each other once a week because he works two jobs.

He has talked to other women he met off a dating site. It's innocent but still. I don't like that he talks to them. It just seems like there is a bunch of red flags. When I've tried ending it, he'll beg me for hours to stay with him. I have feelings for him but I feel like it's dying for me because we're stuck in this state of limbo. I didn't want to break up with him over the holidays so he's not depressed but I know he bought me gifts so I plan on giving them back. Should I break up with him? I do have feelings for him but I'm tired of the way things are.
