Personally, I dont think it's great to be a guy as I hear it so often said. Everything surrounding it in this society usually comes with heavy expectations and misunderstanding. To be fair, a lot of this comes from our own gender. I feel we hold each other to higher expectations than we do ourselves. Our misdeeds are heavily criticized, our customs are expected and our behavior is moderated.

From birth, we are often told not to cry, but the we are criticized for not being able to open up. We are told to ask for help if we need it, but always told to man up when it's not there. Our insecurities are heavily guarded because, acknowledging them goes against our code. Be perfect, never fail, provide then... die?

I would go so far to say that there is an undertone of male disposability. 99% of work place accidents are male. We are 3.54 times as likely to commit suicide. And on average, live a whole decade less. However, suck it up buttercup.

In an odd way, it is rewarding to be a good man. To place others first. To protect. To be dependable and to support the ones you love at all costs.

But sometimes I wonder, is it really great to be a guy?

okay, kid im done. i doubt you even have basic knowlege of hacking. i doul boot linux so i can run my scripts. you made a big mistake of replying to my comment without using a proxy, because i'm already tracking you're ip. since ur so hacking iliterate, that means internet protocol. once i find your ip i can easily install a backdoor trojan into your pc, not to mention your email will be in my hands. dont even bother turning off your pc, because i can rout malware into your power system so i can turn your excuse of a computer on at any time. it might be a good time to cancel your credit card since ill have that too. if i wanted i could release your home information onto my secure irc chat and maybe if your unlucky someone will come knocking at your door. id highly suggest you take your little comment about me back since i am no script kiddie. i know java and c++ fluently and make my own scripts and source code. because im a nice guy ill give you a chance to take it back. you have 4 hours in unix time, clock is ticking. ill let you know when the time is up by sending you an email to [redacted] which I aquired with a java program i just wrote. see you then : )

I've been best friends with this guy named Mike since freshman year of high school (We are 23 now). A little over two years ago, his then-girlfriend broke up with him after he cheated on her.

He still has some feelings for her deep down, while his ex-gf wants nothing to do with him.
However, she feels quite the contrary with me. When she is not in relationship with someone else (she is currently NOT in one right now) she hits me up to have sex with her.

I've turned her down her offer multiple times in the past by stating that it would be disrespectful to my friend. My best friend knows of this and truly appreciates me for making that decision and I felt good about my decision as well.

Lately, she has started hitting me up again to hook up with her. I'm still close with my friend Mike, but my sexual frustration has been tempting me to actually go through with hooking up with her ( I haven't gotten laid in well over a year).

I've had people tell me that it has been long enough since they've been split so it's okay but I also know that it would most certainly be violating bro-code in bad way. What do you think?
