I know there are exceptions such as my boyfriend. He knows more about household chores and is more hygienic than the average woman but generally are we naturally more into leavings things clean and spotless than men?

This is what I've observed in my household growing up. If it were for my father, the floors would already be dirty with some dust and he doesn't always wash the cups nor plates (not even when someone just drank coffee or milk) with the dish soap.. only briefly rinses it with water. Recently, my father and brother finished eating red spaghetti and he only rinsed the plates with water and scrub it with a wet cloth but didn't wash it with soap.

With the exception of washing the clothes, if it were for him the house would be cleaned up maybe once a month or every 2 months. There were also a couple times he didn't even wash his hands after peeing.

So I just found out that my boyfriend likes someone else...
At first, I thought he was the one, but then realized he wasn't and tried to break it off a couple of times and yet he still tried to hold onto me over the years. As you can guess, I grew to rely on him emotionally. I used to be an independent woman, and now I've found out that he likes someone else. I don't know what to do. And I need your help please.

The things he did to me over the years that made me want to break up with him:
1) He would stop me from going to the toilet, which I found controlling (I found this odd. I broke it off last year but then decided to give him another chance hoping he'll change as he apologized and came crying).
2) He would make jokes that all nurses are dumb, or are stupid. I never found it funny but he would say "geez it was just a joke!"
3) When I had social media, and if we got into a fight, he would delete my best friends off. I covered for him and lied to my own friends that hackers got into my account. He never took responsibility.
4) We went to his ball last week and he left me to alone for 3-4 hrs while he was hanging out with his friends. I introduced myself to all of them and talked to them, yet he would just walk off and whenever I found him, he would leave me. His friends kept asking me "why does he keep leaving you? Why are you eating dinner by yourself? Oh, we'll join you!" He would act like I wasn't his girlfriend in front of them by standing far apart. When I confronted him and asked why, he said "You don't work hard enough." I told him I do because I have a strong work ethic and have plans to go to med school, but he doesn't think I can do it.
5) He says I won't get a nursing job or get into medical school

So as you can see, I feel that because I have been with him for so long, I'm used to him and his ways. While I was with him, I used to dream of leaving, now that I have a good reason to go, the thought of being alone terrifies me :/ Help?

I'm leaving out the maybe option because I want to what people are leaning towards.
Basically as the question says. Do you think that you can have your own career and be supportive or do you think they're mutually exclusive?

I'm asking because I've met my boyfriends family for the first time, last weekend. And to make a long story short, they hate me and they weren't subtle about it. I cried for days about.
Now today his dad came by the apartment saying he wanted to apologize for all the drama last week. But my boyfriend is their only child so eventually they hope he is going to take over the company and inherit all their money and houses. When that happens he would need a woman that very is supportive and they don't think I can do that and have a career on my own. I just started med school and they were hoping he'd choose someone with a "dead end degree". And they hope I understand and then he offered me money to leave

I cried for hours about that too. Haven't told my boyfriend yet, not even sure I should? And it go me wondering do you agree with him? That you can't have a career on your own and be a supportive partner?
It's not something that would have ever occurred to me, but now I'm self conscious about it

Assuming that both of these couples were in a good relationship, which would be worse and who is more shallow here?

- A man that ditches his long-term girlfriend or wife for another much younger woman because she got older.
- A woman that ditches her long-term boyfriend or husband for someone wealthy because his company shut down and he's undergoing financial crisis.

Personally, I would say the man leaving his gf/wife for a much younger woman. You can't stop time and we're not going to be 18-24 years old forever. There is no solution to that. Meanwhile money can still be recovered as you work your way out again. Money can come and go while youth goes away and never returns.
