I met this girl through OkCupud just today, and as suggested I'm just trying to be myself. I usually don't worry whether someone has replied or not, but this is bugging me. My attempt was just to make her laugh or smole through this message, but from her not responding I feel like my message probably scared her away. She seems like the type of girl I'd like to take out and have fun with (non-sexual, even though according from her pictures I am a little physically attracted to her, but I'm not here for casual sex though).

Before this her and I were just speaking about her new tattoo, and I had complimented her telling her that if it represents how beautiful she is. She responded and I tried dipping my foot in water by attempting to be funny, but did my joke get taken the wrong way?

If we were dating for a little while and I mention I had a big tattoo on my back and showed it to you. Would you be turned off/on or indifferent about it? Would you look at me differently, like in a bad way? Like go from, I can see my self with this guy for a long time, to "I dont know how long this will last." Is it even a big deal? I only ask because I got the tattoo when I was younger and I still like it a lot, but am worried now that I am older that it may turn off many women that I am into.
