Whether it's your wife/girlfriend or crush, are you willing to take a phisical sacrifice instead of her? That may not necessarily be dying but maybe taking torture instead of her.
Please be honest. Personally I'm ready to take torture, but death is something I doubt about, however as a Christian I beleive if I sacrifice not only it's a loving and honorable thing but also a way to heaven.

For example, suppose you were about to get executed, and everyone was watching.

The executioner offers to spare you and let you go, but you'll have to get down on your knees, kiss his feet, and bark loudly like a dog while he's spitting on you and doing many humiliating things to you, again, while everyone is watching.

Would you accept the offer and live the rest of your life in shame? Or deny it, accept death, and die with honor?

This isn't the issue of a loved one's passing or whether you care about everyone that dies.
I'm asking if you, yourself, are afraid of dying, or the thought of your own death.

If it's not too much, would you happen to explain why?
