I'm talking to this guy online, and it's been a long while now. Before you ask, NO he is not a catfish. When we started talking, he very clearly showed interest in the conversation, and he does still show interest now, but he just doesn't say as much as he used to. I feel like this is cause he knows he has me now, so the amount of effort put into our texts has gone down on his end.

He does have feelings for me, and I've given him a number of opportunities to say he doesn't anymore, but he never does so I suppose he is still interested. He lives over 12 hours away, and I've offered to go closer to him so he'd only have to drive an hour to me, but he isn't ready. He's got stuff going on (mental health), and this affects his motivation, mood and energy so he doesn't want to just yet.

While I respect this a lot because I know how it feels and don't want to pressure him, it's hard on my mental health as well. My anxiety levels go up because of overthinking, and thinking what if we never meet? That would've been a waste of a year+ of talking to him. So what do I do? He has a valid reason, and I don't want to end it over this before us even meeting... but come on. I OFFERED to go closer to him and he still can't? Pfft.
