Search Results: odd relationship with a woman

I've known this woman for over a year now. We met through a mutual friend & that friend asked me to help her improve her English. We would meet once a week for an hour & occasionally with our group of our friends.
This year things have changed. Without discussion she has been wanting to spend 3hrs+ together every time & sometimes we aren't really doing any work, just spending time together. Also, while she is a friendly-touchy person, things have increased. She has also given me a pet name!

Apart from the English lessons, we rarely did anything alone until recently.
* Last November she asked me to a movie & paid for the tickets. I assumed others would be there with us but when I got there I found out it was just us. This was odd for us to do.
* April when I mentioned going to an event and she jumped at us doing it alone. We also went to a restaurant for dinner before the event.
* Then a week later we took a day trip to another city, having dinner in a restaurant again.
* 2 weeks later I had planned an event for some friends. She asked me to meet her at 1pm and we would meet the others at the event at 4pm and after the event (6pm) all our friends were going to have a BBQ. Between the event and BBQ I took a bus but she walked with another male friend (who I thought she had a crush on). At the BBQ she was unusually quiet with me. When we next met she told me I had abandoned her, that we were meant to spend the whole day together, that she wanted to be walking/talking with me and not that other guy. She was quiet at the BBQ as she was upset with me. It was 1hr apart! This screams to me as irrational for just a friend.
* Today, via text, she asked me to the movies again. Either Fri or Sat night this week (day is my decision as it depends on what day I must go to her city for my work).

There are other things too.
I guess that our mutual friend has told her Im attracted to her by now.
Im just curious if these are some good signs or just friendship. What do you think?

Dating is a numbers game. And after having run the calculations for the numbers game, I've had to concede that I don't have a realistic chance any more. I have a life expectancy of only 50>55yrs; I'm projected to live for another 20>25yrs. And I can't possibly manage to meet any more than 3 new females on average per day. That's a maximum limit of roughly 22,000 females, over the course of my remaining lifespan. Then, adding my bare minimum level of extra parameters: I'm looking for a 16-35yo (16%) single heterosexual (28%), who'd be willing to consider forming a new relationship at the time I meet her (23%), and open to both inter-racial (24%) & inter-religious (15%) relationships. With a personality type compatible with my own (1.4%), an IQ over 100 (52%); and ideally, who isn't overweight or anorexic (29.7%).

Even at this point, the odds already stand at 57:1 against me ever meeting even a single female, between now and the day I die, who'd meet all of these perfectly reasonable criteria- even with those non-requests, such a girl would literally be one in a million. And that'd be without having any standards whatsoever regarding desired personality traits and qualities, shared interests, shared life goals, attractiveness or sexual compatibility. Factor all of these in as well, and I've calculated that the lifetime odds against me meeting such a woman skyrocket to 1/737500; less than fifth of my lifetime odds of being killed by a lightning bolt. Per person, the odds would be one in over 16 billion- in conclusion, there's only a 23.3% chance that there's a single female in existence across the globe who'd meet the criteria required for me to be able to have a fulfilled mutual relationship with her. With odds like that, what's the point? Should I just give up? Shouldn't we all just give up? And if not, why not?
