Search Results: strength and weakness

I believe people can only bring out what they harbor inside. I mostly uplift & share the positivity in me. When I was more negative, lost & hurt, especially after my daughter passed, I use to try to tear others down.

It's easy to look down at others' weaknesses, especially in areas where the judger is stronger than the judged which helps hide their own weaknesses & insecurities and/or makes them feel stronger.

Example: a mother my age could look at the way I raise my girls & say "she never spends a lot of money on them but my girls are always in the latest fashion & have everything they want from Wal-Mart" which is true but is also a means to excuse the fact that they don't spend as much time or energy on their kids as I do.

The more weak the judged seem, the stronger the judger feels.

To me, it's honestly all a distraction & a whole lot of wasted energy that could go to building yourself/others up instead of wasting it on cutting people down.

Often times, a person can take on negativity from the surrounding people & environment, otherwise known as a bad day. The person than tries to empty the negativity outta them, sometimes in a positive manner. Other times, more negatively. This is the quickest way to be attacked by your SO, friends or family. Either their initial issue had nothing to do with you, or it was because of you but amplified over the course of their bad day.

I'm not saying anyone's perfect & I know we piss each other off, but the proof of who we are as people is in how we handle situations concerning others. Some people may lose their patients where others continue to stay calm. There's a difference...

Now if someone is pointing out your flaws in an attempt to honestly help you, well... You've got a friend indeed.

Balance is key. Don't be the person who sees everyone's weakness & only your strength, nor do you wanna be the person who sees everyone's strength & only your weakness. See people for all that they are & be all that you can be.
